2013 MV Agusta Brutale 1090, 1090R and 1090RR

MV Agusta has revealed official details on its 2013 four-cylinder Brutale, including the 1090, 1090 R and 1090 RR. For 2013, the three-model 2013 Brutale 1090 line get styling enhancements, updated wheels as well as new exhaust sytems.

Visually, all three models now have silver-colored engines instead of black, and receive new daytime running lights, brakes lights, as well as license plate holders and mirrors. Both MV Agusta Brutale 1090R and 1090RR add redesigned front turn signals which are now integrated with the mirrors. The 2013 MV Agusta Brutale 1090, 1090R and 1090RR also get new elegant split-spoke wheels that save a total of 3.3 lb. over the previous wheels, and an updated front fender which is also lighter than the previous one.

The 2013 MV Agusta Brutale 1090, 1090R and 1090RR are powered by 1078cc four-cylinder engines with double overhead camshafts and four valves per cylinder, with two configurations of maximum power are offered; The MV Agusta Brutale 1090 and 1090R reach 144 hp at 10,300 rpm and 82.6 ft-lb of torque at 8100 rpm, and The Brutale 1090 RR getting an engine claiming 156hp at 11,900 rpm and 73.8 ft-lb of torque at 10,100 rpm. All three models utilize cassette-style six-speed transmissions, and the 1090 RR version also equipped with a slipper clutch.

The frame of the 2013 Brutale 1090 line combines tubular steel architecture along with a single-sided swingarm with adjustable absorber, and coupled with dual aluminium plates to offer a high torsional stiffness.

They are also equipped with latest-generation Marzocchi fully-adjustable 50mm forks. The rear suspension on both 1090 and 1090R models have adjustable rebound and spring preload, while the 1090RR’s rear shock has adjustable hydraulic compression damping.

Both MV Agusta Brutale 1090 and 1090R models still use 310mm front brake rotors, while the RR comes with 320mm floating steel-aluminium rotors, brembo monoblock front calipers for maximum braking efficiency and weight reduction.

In Europe, the 2013 MV Agusta Brutale 1090 will be available in matte black, matte pearl white or matte metallic gray and will set you back 12,990 euros or $16,962. The MV Agusta Brutale 1090R will be offered metallic black, pastel red or silver higher-end paint job and will be offered at a price of 13,990 euros or $18,268. And the MV Agusta 1090RR can be had with pastel red and silver, metallic gold and pearl white or metallic blue and pearl white paint job and will cost 16,990 euro or $22,186.

Unfortunately, U.S. pricing and availability has yet to be announced.
