One owner, less than 500 from new

It was motorcycle enthusiast’s fervent that, having bought the to arguably the most famous and name in motorcycle racing Cagiva would not let the MV marque dormant for long. MV had become of the Cagiva group in 1991 and enough, before the decade’s end its emblem was once again the flanks of one of the world’s most motorcycles: the F4.

Introduced to the public at the 1998 Show, the F4 has already become of MV legend. In a publicity masterstroke, the announced that, most production would commence a limited edition run of just 300 special F4s — the ‘Serie (Gold Series). Production, at the rate of just three per day, commenced late in at MV’s new factory at Cassinetta di Varese.

Arguably the only surprising about the original F4 was that it was as a 750 at a time when the class was becoming moribund. The Japanese main focus of attention had switched to 1,000cc sports but it took all of six years for MV to follow

We are advised the immobiliser requires attention the machine can be used.
