New American IronHorse Legend AIH owners come on in

I’ve riding for 14 years now, an HD for the 10. I’ve always loved the bikes. Starting going to Week and stuff since the 90’s. I’ve been about getting a new sled for the past month or two and have trolling craigslist, cycletrader, and and finally got a 2006 American Legend.

I just found website last week and through it has been helpfull. The was too much for the previous owner, 65 old guy, about 5’7. He rode it a few times. He said the read 114 miles the last he put it away. I can’t verify since the head unit is now on the

I’ve read that is common and I’m actually it happend and he saw it. i think it helped in my I believe what he says the is just based on the condition of the Other than the dust, the is clean. The tires still the nubs on em.

I had it up on the lift last and went over everything, tightening, checking fluids, the shift linkage and kickstand,

I’d like to find out I can about this bike. not just the casual owner. I do my own and like to know all that I

From what I can tell and read, its a 124 SS, Super E, Baker RSD 6 Gib ignition, Thunder Heart cluster, RC Component wheels, and clutch.

Anything else I know? The owners manual is a Does anybody have any of a shop manual, wiring or anything like that or where I can get anything?

I took the out for it’s maiden ride On the good side, it handled well for a bike this on the test ride I scrapped the pretty easy, but the adjuster was set way I adjusted that so its not an issue. So on the today nothing scraped, and I had it over pretty good to feel it out. On the bad side, the don’t come far back for me.

I remember reading that the Legend had new bars that back 2 further than the ones. Well I could use 2 inches. With the internal that might be a …. changed the bars on my HD, twice. out there change their on an AIH?

I see I’ll have to change the and brake lines if I go this and I’ll have to figure out with the guage unit. Its anyway, but I don’t know an easy swap.

The motor is than I expected and I hope is normal and just the way it is with a big like the 124 that isn’t broken in yet. There’s a lot of on the primary side of the bike. A high pitched whistle, the clack I’m guessing of monster opening and closing, and little noise that it sound like a dry clutch.

I and its a wet clutch and fluid is good, up with the bottom part of the in it (this is on the lift and level, not over). When I put it up for the winter change all the fluids and adjust the too, and then maybe next year after some more miles on it.

I thought the stock exhaust be too quiet, the bike being But I like it, not too loud, not too quiet. At its probably quieter than my HD, but on the go it has a deep rumble to it. I looked at bikes that were way too obnoxious and ran alot less than this one.

Its real touching slow in first gear, but other that its pretty civilized if you it with respect.

So far, a new owner. Here are some
