I dig the HFL exhaust

Nick Goddard

Was one before Honda’s Hondamatic? Or is an “automatic”, while this one is a “no mechanically-shifted sequential manual (a la F1 gearboxes)?

I know the original F1 gearboxes in the 355 were not sequential, so the 2-3 took longer, for instance, the 3-4 shift, but surely the latest in Ferrari’s roadcars are sequential, no?

has some good looking if you know what I mean. a button-operated trunk? Genius!

In any this is pretty cool for who wants to drive an automatic I guess if you were injured or a delivery person it could be it would certainly make it to talk on the phone in a state helmet laws.

Yamaha beat Aprilia to a bike by several years – the debuted in 2006 with the controls set completely devoid of a lever.

Much like an F1 you hit the foot lever (or a toggle at your left index thumb) to initiate a shift and electronic clutch control (YCCS) handles it from

On the FJR, YCCS ignores the if it decides that it’d the engine or cause some The clutch automatically disengages the when you come to a stop so always in 1st and ready to go, but not tiring out hand keeping a clutch

It’s a pretty nice in the rain when you’ve got legs all nice and tucked up the fairing and still need to

it’s a good bike but I’m just not a fan of the manumatic kinda takes away the ride (for me)

I ridden one of these slushbox and the bike is a pretty fun and honest for a twist and go. You can be hooligan on it if you like, or you can putt to work.

I did find a few frustrating:

— there is no clutch lever similar to the clutch pedal in an auto I found my self grabbing of air instinctivly.

— You can no longer dump the to do a wheelie either as this takes off so smooth that the throttle open means you away from the stoplight/correctional illegal street racing spot/ex-grilfriend’s house with less drama than you had One might be able to “load the (if there is even a converter) you did in your dad’s Chevy first learning to be cool the wheel but something tells me will only anger the Nun with the ruler that inside this machine.

gear control is an illusion. The lever does not have “I have several spinning attached to my shaft” feeling. it has about the same amount of as a computer keyboard. It is firm but and somehow feels like is no weight behind it. Furthermore the are sooooo slow.

There was a a small moment, between I toed the lever and when it gears that I had time to the social significance of Led Zepplin’s “in the out door” and resolve my feelings on the fictional game show or Nada form NBC’s “My is EARL” (now calcelled)is a concept.

Same with the thumb but my only frame of comparison on is the air shifter on a drag bike and the trigger button on the x-box and Gotham Racing. Soon, will come out with a to fix this and the thing will like that clapped out ’67 I had with the shift kit and slapper

— Massive credit go to aprilla for a storage area actually holds a real Massive bummer it makes me like all the new vespas I have and robs me of the anti-social grand where I walk into restaurant/ business meeting/parole hearing and place my fullface 3/4 nekkid pinup girl and WWII warbird art right on the in full view of all in attendence who are now sterile with secret Seriously though, cool

Aprilla don’y you dare this one away.

All in all, it was a fun ride for someone who is convinced a needs to be in his/her life but be bothered with all that shifting stuff. It is not quite the dream where you will a button and it shifts gears in the of an eye with all the force of hells and the slickness of a used car dealer in Missouri. We are not there yet but it is a start.

I will say this, I have the LeoVince pipe in person and it is a have for this bike. Aprilla should just buy out Mr. and keep him chained in the basement exhausts that alone their product’s sound

This, that, and other Maxiscooter ever — the same things can be said for all, and the DN-01 was hardly the

Face it: the scooter/motorcycle divide is beyond recognition at this

It really is Almost the perfect for someone who needs a practical but also wants to be able to do fun riding with it as well. It a very decent short-tourer, and credible enough to shake-and for some spirited riding.

It ABS badly though, a commuter ABS is a silly proposition as they with traffic and poor conditions comparitively more any other type of bike and exactly where you want

Needs ABS? A without ABS is a silly proposition? Somebody needs to put down the Kool-Aid.

I am sure the thousands thousands of us who commute on bikes ABS will disagree that it is proposition”. My 1977 GS750 rider would not improve one as a commuter bike (which is I do with it every single with ABS.

A quick of the commuter bikes I see every day on the East side of Manhattan and out of 20 only one has ABS – a BMW 1150RT. The rest are a crew of 1970′s superbikes, 250s, shadows, vulcans, and (the older ones ABS). Something tells me would disagree with you it being silly as well.

ABS help? sure. Is it a wonderful you bet. Is it a necessity? no.

Is riding it a silly proposition? – maybe for who are willing to admit their skill set is seriously lacking but if is the case I hear Can-Am is discounts on spyders….and there is the option of a nice cheap convertible cage.

Why does the Mana need because you should feel you are getting value for your Don’t get me wrong, the bike is reasonably quick, and handles – but it rides you more than you it. As long as you are going to let it saddle up you as well get all the bells and whistles.

I they make the Mana ABS – is it really that hard to a few on a boat to America?
