Bajaj 125 Classic

I am in the same dilemma as well and to grope my way thru it all if u know I mean

I got a ’99 Classic SL btw

One of the things to source seems to be specific switches, only now are Enfield Spares on ebay UK ’em, trust me the Vespa won’t fit but there are work such as replacing the headset a early P range one or like me, my switches arrive, bodging an old PK type switch underneath the shifter as the indicator turn break off. (Actually I just said isn’t true, underneath the throttle is a screw hole that up with the P range switch, you a gap around the switch but it will on there )

A P range mudguard will fit on a bit o’ jiggery pokery, are specific but you can move the lugs or out new rearward holes if you want to the non turn type cowls.

and seals are freely available eBay, have to work out if is a 2, 3 or 5 port set, cruciforms and are standard stock as well as keys. Plenty Oil seal on eBay for for Sprint or Bajaj, much unchanged, dunno cranks and stuff like I imagine if a big end goes its the same of cracking the crank and replacing the con and before putting em back I have a sneaky suspicion the internals are pretty much the especially if the seals are identical for the over Bajaj, that precisely identical seating and etc.

Electrics are a little bajaj CDI, rectifier etc are all Bajaj, Enfiend Spares reckon can source what you need in department including stators and flywheels. If you change it to a Vespa P you will need to cross with the engine loom and out using specific P range (or model) engine electrics, things like kill ignition circuits, charging mains feed etc. frame engines from should fit in the cavity and mate up the mountings pretty much OK.

Don’t know about the motor but the aperture is in the same as the Vespa one and fits pretty the same so simple replacement I have thought.

Special box with neutral switch be a little rare if its specific fit to

Cables and stuff like are bog standard Vespa, fuel is again bog standard, I bought a KN for mine that fitted on, it replaced a Vespa air filter and the I got is a Dellorto carb.

You can replace with Vespa ones racing stuff using a on stub adaptor, SIP did have I still haven’t ascertained my barrel is a standard Vespa one as the is mounted on the barrel or someone has a Vespa stub onto a cylinder.

There are wiring diagrams out for the Classic SL, fairly easy to on, connectors are a little stiff due to the road conditions, rear are different pattern to Vespa but a work with some brackets sees them on nice and secure lol

Lastly, holes in the floorboard are there for a large frame runner simple to fit and you can lose the silly if thats what you want

and suspension are pretty freely out there, the anti-dive forks are to the P range ones.

Simonini Racing Exhaust

too how the cowls look in contrast the tired paint on the frame? £8 tin of hammerite smooth brought the and mudguard up like new
