Bajaj Pulsar was coming in 150,180,200,220cc models and earlier 220cc model came only with fuel-injection technology.Pulsar 150,180 and 220cc got a makeup for 2009 range.

Now ,Bajaj Scrapped Fuel Injection from 220cc model and in turn achieved a increase in 1 bhp .Currently Pulsar 220cc with carburettor is the top speed model – a real 145kmph is achieved officially.power is 21ps@8500rpm and torque 19.12Nm@7000rpm.front and rear disc brakes.

TVS APACHE RTR 180cc

South Indian bike maker’s flagship model gets a capacity upgrade. Competitive pricing and features set to take the battle to the Bajaj Pulsar 180 DTSi.

TVS Motor Company has launched its new performance bike for the Indian market. The Apache RTR 180 takes the company’s flagship Apache RTR brand further with a displacement upgrade to 180cc, apart from some interesting additional features.

Based on the earlier Apache RTR 160, the company claims that the RTR 180 is pegged at about the same weight as its predecessor of 137 kilograms. The larger engine now makes it churn out a peak power of 17.3bhp at a high-revving 8500rpm. and the peak torque of 15.5Nm kicks in at 6500rpm. The new RTR shares a similar chassis and suspension setup to the RTR 160, with gas charged shock absorbers at the rear.

New for the bike apart from the engine are the front and rear petal disc brakes (which were also seen on the fuel-injected version of the RTR 160), new graphics and some appealing new colours like the pearl white seen in the picture.

The new RTR 180 will be taking the fight to Bajaj Auto’s recently revamped Pulsar 180 DTSi. Priced competitively in the Pulsar 180’s vicinity at Rs 63,900 (ex-showroom Delhi) and Rs 64,900 (ex-showroom, rest of India), the RTR will be relying on its extra bits like the front and rear disc brakes and its snazzy design to take on the Bajaj offering. I think Apache 180cc looks better than Pulsar 220. and as usual hero honda is lagging behind the race with their old horse – Karizma -a 223cc bike first released on 2003.many knows it via MTV Roadies program et al.
