TheSighBored: I saw a photo of a bike shop showing a price of RM56,XXX, not sure if that’s OTR or not, assuming it is not, then the OTR would be RM59,XXX (estimated) and the Z800 at the moment is RM52,XXX OTR, so the difference is roughly RM7k. So yes, it is a bit cheaper than the TNT 899 (not 800).

TheSighBored: That’s roughly 160cm right? You might have some minor issue with height unless you have long legs, I recommend going for the B full license first, now they offer ER6n as test bike, you can test sitting/riding the ER6n, the TNT 899 is slightly higher than the ER6n, or just drop by their HQ/showroom at Sentul, I’m sure you can test sit on the bike, they won’t allow you to test ride without valid license.

TheSighBored: I have not rode a Yamaha FZ1 before, sorry. I’m not too sure about value for money, you do get an awesome bike for the money you spend. The TNT is one of the more unique/exotic bikes in the market, so if you like being unique then you can consider it.

TheSighBored: Judging by your avatar picture, I think you have already chosen Benelli. ) To answer your questions: 1) 899 is slightly taller, but has a slightly slimmer profile, I would say it also has a slightly further reach to the handle bars compared to the Z1. 2) Looks always depends on the eye of the beholder, to me, the Z1 looks badass, 899 looks unique. 3) I haven’t heard 899 with aftermarket exhaust, so in stock form, I’d say Z1 sounds nicer.

4) Z1 has a bit more punch but both are fun.

TheSighBored: Didn’t have enough ride time to comment on that, definitely not a pillion friendly option.

TheSighBored: From my short test ride of this bike, it feels nimble and torque is there, should be a fun bike in the twisty. Not sure about how it will fare for long trip or how’s the maintenance/spare parts, I think you can find more details through the owner group or forums, those are the best to do research. TheSighBored: I think you are referring to the TNT 600. Not this one in the video.

TheSighBored: In terms of value for money based on price, I would go with Z800.

TheSighBored: Tornado Naked Tre (TNT), that’s what the TNT suppose to mean. Looks like they did name it TNT 600, my apologies on that. I’ll try to see if I can do some test ride.

TheSighBored: Nope, haven’t had a chance to ride a MV, looks wise it does look unique, usually European bikes styling is unique. I’m not too sure of the bike’s performance specifications, but if based on price, I would consider it, IF I wasn’t already having my Z1000. The reason would be mostly about having something different than the usual.

engcherly: What will happen to the bike if we fall since the radiators are at the side? Repair will be expensive man.

TheSighBored: Real bikers are brothers with all bikers regardless what bike they ride. However, with no offense to anyone, it seems that most Ducati riders (not all) are not so sociable with non Ducati bikers. I don’t know why, don’t ask me.

TheSighBored: Good crash sliders might help in minor falls I guess.

TheSighBored: Usually there are two ways to go about lowering the ride height. #1 – Shave the seat padding, this might make the seat feel harder/not comfortable for longer ride; #2 – Install lowering kit, check online to see if there’s a kit available for the bike model; Try not to lower it by too much, as such alterations might upset the bike’s handling.
