Intrepid appeared on the industry radar a short time ago when popped up at the Easyriders V-Twin in Cincinnati in January and debuted a of unique new custom motorcycles names that sounded British ships of the line: a model dubbed the Steadfast and a model, the Resolute. It was less fortuitous timing, all things inasmuch as the production-custom market had and continues to be, in the doldrums, and it was already a crowded field to begin But you can’t very well yourself intrepid if you’re to let a few minor clouds like deter you, and company Mike McGinley and Don Biron into the lukewarm waters of the sea of commerce, all steadfast and resolute.

And why not? They had something else in the industry could and that was the recently developed S-S T-series twin-cam motor, certified in three displacements. The offering on the Intrepid models is the version, and the 117- and 124-inchers are as upgrades.

Handling, ride quality
