1978 BMW R60/7, Sussex, Work

I’m putting up now since people have asking, I need to get more and pictures at the weekend but I thought I may as get the ball rolling now as not!

you want to know, just

1978 BMW R60/7 — remember the mileage right Sorry — will it as soon as I can.

(It doesn’t look this now!)

SORN’d, no MOT — not run in than 10 years! This is much a project bike. A if you will.

Will need to be up from Sussex with a van or

From memory — as I gone and looked at it in months, if not (I don’t have a garage so stored elsewhere):

600cc twin. Mainly in one piece. pieces and things in a bin.

thrown away, actually in a never used for rubbish, bin)

Electrics obviously bodged by owner, made worse by me. suit someone who knows bike electrics. At the point I had to work on it (long, boring I was about to just buy a new loom motorworks or someone — I it would be easier.

Silencers sprayed black at some so you might want to replace

Seat covered with a of urban camo fabric doesn’t show the oil or mud!

seat is underneath)

Needs hand switchgear I think. At

Originally had a period aftermarket handlebar fairing — the of that fairing got broken, the main part is ok — needs a new screen.

It was replaced with later lighter) gel plastic black fairing, which was sprayed black at some point in was on the Ural (see other You can have them if you want

May even have the original frames and boxy panniers but I need to check. I think one of the needed a hinge fixing.

that battery, tyres all need to be replaced and that needs a good check, and grease, oil, etc.

BMW R60/7

It has at least been stored in the dry all years.

I had replaced the rear with some hagons, I so they are probably the newest on the bike.

I expect it’s tinted glasses, but this was a little bike with a sweet engine.

I think the engine BMW’s were nicer to ride than the and 1000s — well, not the 450cc for the German licence that was a bit crap, but the 600s and are underrated, I think.

I would say of course, I’m trying to one.

Anyway, if you don’t like it as 600 you can turn it into a 800 with from motorworks or motobins.

Oh, of which — the front is a bit rubbish — single single calliper.

And the original BMW disc doesn’t go rusty, but get a bit change of underwear in the wet.

I motorworks used to sell non-stainless replacement discs were supposed to improved it a along with some pads.

As to what sort of I want for it — I honestly absolutely no idea. Really. than nothing, I can tell you much, but I really don’t

Why not make me a silly offer?
