1965 BSA Lightning A65L Motorcycle

This  is a recently 1965 BSA A65 custom bobber. bike was shown last at the Rats Hole Custom show at Daytona bike It did not place for a trophy in the heavily bobber class, but was very received and admired, and the next day was set up for a photo shoot by a major custom bike mag.

The was built at Olde Iron Works in Edgewater, Fl. The bobber was up, fabricated and assembled here Iron Cycle Works, and is entirely built by hand the exception of the metal-flake paint, and the hard frame, solo seat, fender and oil tank which are The Factory Metal works.

The hard tail which is 4 inches and dropped 2 inches was and welded on by the competent crew at The Metal Works. Olde Cycle Works completed the fabrication of the oil tank and seat mounts, The was trimmed to fit the tail light, the battery box, shaved the fork legs, fabricated the roller bracket, electrical plate and headlight bracket, and other small one-off

The frame started life as a A50B model which have been intended for a 650 or 500 cc off road model such as a or Hornet. The engine is a 1971 unit with a single head conversion.
