Like the Triumph also in these photos? Then Here

Gentlemen,

Here are a few shots of my grandson Joe’s old 1971 BSA Thunderbolt 650cc A65 Not to steal any of Joe’s thunder, no pun here is a little info’ on it. In BSA went bankrupt and that was the end of

When first released, I the 71′ model was about the 650 ever to be sold by BSA and the bike was not to ‘its former glory’ it was far from glorious looking day one when it left the factory.

Instead, Joe and I over the years re-focused our attention to turn a classic basic concept more of a sport bike and now he has taken it to another level of Clubman’ look, still basically BSA components together some greatly improved components like Electronic and Charging systems, Gold silencers, Cycle Shack TT exhausts and cooling muffs, steel valves with cut seats and competition springs, clutch plates and springs. head, rocker cover, and rear brake conical plates are all ceramic coated gray.

Barrel is powder coated black, as are the wheel rims. spokes complete the wheels the twin leading shoe brake has been modified to stopping power. The original ‘pisspot’ shaped headlamp is by a traditional Lucas chromed held by quality after-market brackets to lower it.

For those unaware of the term back in the day BSA marketed the BSA 500cc Star which over in could be ridden daily, take a passenger, and could be to the race track to participate in a racing, then ridden afterwards by it’s owner. had the famous Venom and Viper Sport Vee-lines which a similar placing and later the famous Velocette Thruxton.

‘Clubman Racing’ is a thing of the it was this concept that led to the of the Cafe Racers spearheaded by like Dave Degans his Dresda Tritons. Today, the new Triumphs have added the Bonneville to their lineup of motorcycles and it is one of their best models.

I think Joe has done a truly job in blending the best of all practical by retaining the daily riding of this machine and taking in a very hard to detect and way the aspects of a truly authentic with timeless good and improved performance and reliability. Of I may be just a ‘tiny bit biased’, I am his after all and sometimes get tired at at his exhaust pipes always in my face when we are out riding

But I do think it is a beautiful machine should be seen by everyone, a he can truly and most deservedly be of. Way to go Joe.
