REVIEW: Hyosung GT250- R Someone who knows the Indian Motorcycle industry for the past 10 years would’ve heard about the name Hyosung. Back in 2004 Kinetic collaborated with Hyosung, a South Korean Motorcycle manufacturer and released their multi cylinder 250cc machines in India called the Comet GT250 and then the Aquila 250 ,which was a cruiser. The air/oil cooled 75 degree V Twin 250cc engine produced 27 bhp and 20 odd Nm torque. It enjoyed premium status for some years until finally Kinetic ended the partnership and Hyosung went back home. Hyosung GT650 Comet review — Naked — Motorcycles — Visordown

Hyosung GT650 Comet Of all the new bikes launched in 2004, Hyosung’s GT650 Comet may look ordinary, but it’s one of the most significant. Even though it’s the spitting image of the original Suzuki SV650, the Korean firm haven’t just bought the engine from Suzuki like Cagiva did for their Raptor. The Comet, engine and all, was designed by Hyosung’s own Japanese-based RD department, and is produced in Korea. Hyosung is doing exactly what the Japanese manufacturers did decades ago, using market leading models as inspiration. And the Comet is just the start; the first of a wave of bigger machines to be launched over the next few years as Hyosung attempts to follow ...

OneWheelDrive.Net 2006 Hyosung GT250 Comet — Inconspicuous…

2006 Hyosung GT250 Comet – Inconspicuous Consumpt The recipe for a beginner’s bike is pretty simple really.  It needs enough of an engine to get you up to highway speeds, handling that’s good enough to get you through the corners without trauma, and brakes that handle what traffic throws at you – like a bus – all sandwiched in by a capable chassis to hold it all together.  The Hyosung GT250 meets all the requirements of this recipe, but offers a little bit more. So here I am, at 12,500 RPM I’m well into the 11,000 marked red line, and expecting the rev limiter to cut me off at any moment.  The special sauce here is the super-abundance of smooth revs, the tiny 249cc twin’s ...

One of the largest 250s available. Makes it look more like a 650 than a 250 and good for taller riders. Handles well and has just enough grunt to stay out of trouble. The new fuel injected ones look even better. Often bagged by other riders but overall an excellent starter bike and one you can hang on to for a while afterwards. Thanks for posting. Hyosung ST7 Cruiser — Motorcyclist Magazine

A Korean alternative to the American V-twin They say: The style you want at a price you can afford. We say: Acceptably cool and Hyosung’s full-court press on the American motorcycle market continues with the introduction of the ST7, which finds the Korean company’s ubiquitous 678cc V-twin cradled in a classically styled cruiser chassis. A larger bore bumps displacement enough to be rounded up to 700cc, thus the ST7 moniker on the tank. Front to back, the bike fits the bill almost perfectly. Flared front fenders shroud attractive machined-aluminum mags shod with fat Shinko rubber, supported in the front by a stout fork. Backswept bars provide the proper upper-body position for ...

Hyosung GT650R Review —

Hyosung GT650R Review Yee-aah-hooooo-weeeeee . This is serious and proper fun! There’s nothing wrong with in-your-helmet shouting every now and then, but this time the whole situation was kinda weird. The location? The infamous Sodom-Arad road, regarded by local squids as Israel’s best bit of winding tarmac, climbing up from earth’s lowest point up to the Judea desert’s high plains. The context? Trusting girlfriend and I plus a hefty duffel bag strapped to the tank while touring Israel. The tool? A very unlikely fellow: Hyosung’s GT650R. Got to admit that I wasn’t quite expecting this unknown, entry-level type of scoot to be this satisfying on such a ...
