750 SFC Electronica ignition module The original Bosch ignition fitted on the SFC Electronica was special for this model. When these modules came later out of stock, the factory decided to use the same # 034 ignition box as fitted on the late 1000cc 180 (with Nippo Denso alternator), Jota 120 and RGSs. This new module has exactly the same performances than the older one, however the timing is different. meaning that the woodruff key (of the rotor) has to be removed. The factory advised to machine in the rotor a new groove for the woodruff key, however most of the time the key was simply removed and the rotor was timed only by tightening its nut, secured by a toothted washer. Ignitions ...

Laverda RGS1000 Executive

Motorcycle Enthusiast RGS1000 Road Test October 1983 — by Mick Walker Ever since their introduction, the Laverda 1000 and 1200 triples have most closely bridged the gap between the Italian and Japanese motorcycle industries. This is to be seen not just from the obvious things such as switchgear, instruments and the level of finish, but the type of rider that Laverda are aiming at. Ride the RGS in city traffic or country back lanes and you will be sadly disappointed — but take a motorway, or a main ‘A’ road, and you will appreciate what makes the RGS tick — power! It has the almost unique ability to sustain extremely high cruising speeds. Never have I ridden ...

750 SF 1972: This 1972 SF (here pictured at Breganze) was my usual mean of transport, everyday to my work place, week-ends and holidays, meetings and rallies. Trips to Breganze, Venezia, Spain, Switzerland. This is a SF0 model, means that it was produced between the very first SF (with S type tank, Smiths clocks, small valves and small carbs, and first generation Laverda drum brakes) and the SF1. This means that it still got the old engine model (S series), Bosch headlight and first generation drum brakes, however it had already the new tank and the ND clocks. It was only some years later that I incidentally met the first owner who, fortunately, had yet at home a note book on which he ...

1972 Laverda 750 SF For Sale Posted on June 17, 2011 by tad Much as I admire the SFC I’d written about previously, I’m unlikely to own a $40k motorcycle anytime soon, and I’m not sure that an SFC would be the one I’d want if I did have that kind of cash to spend on a vintage bike… Now these less exotic Laverda twins I’ve admired for a while, and I’ve even seriously considered buying when I can find them to drool over.  I might keep an eye on this particular bike, although I’m really holding out for one of the triples…  Unfortunately, the three-pot Laverdas are as rare as hen’s teeth in these parts, and the Jota’s are a bit out of my reach financially. But the 750SF ...
