Daelim just got …! right; with the launch of the new S3 125 the firm have taken scooters to a different level.

It seem like too long ago scooters from the Far East deemed to be of inferior quality and designed basically cheap and (a bit like how Japanese motorcycles considered in the 1960s). Personally, I how much the quality and design of from the Far East have on in the last eight years I’ve been road them and there’s no comparison to early scooters with panels and out-of-date looks.

The generation of machines are able to sit our tried and trusted brands being made to look a cheap man’s transport. You need to look at the pictures of the new S3 to realise it’s a sleek-looking It has an air of quality about it that be ignored and it should have the manufacturers feeling a little bit

Aside from the aesthetics, the S3 a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 125cc and the scooter even has a car style sensor for the ignition; simply up to the scooter with the electronic key fob in pocket, twist the ignition watch the blue lit clocks their respective dials and the starter button. That’s there’s no need to be fumbling for a key with cold hands on beauty.

The seat can be opened at the push of a too, as can the fuel filler (as as you have the key in your pocket) and you can the steering without putting a key in as In fact the only time you to use the key is when you want to open the cubbyhole behind the legshields. ignition may only be a simple but it works well and sets the apart from the competition.

If you at the S3 from certain angles you be forgiven for thinking you’re at a slightly restyled Peugeot RS, as the profile of the Daelim resembles it in ways and some of the details on the S3, the red stitching on the seat are lifted from the Satelis (or at least like they have Not to worry though because scoots look stunning their deep glossy paintwork.

That seat pops at the press of a button and lifts on struts to reveal a carpeted, lit space. The seat itself is and includes a rider backrest and are grab rails for a pillion, as as flip-out pegs.

The Daelim has twin rear shocks felt good enough on the settings, but the front forks a little bit choppy for my liking rough ground; they have done with slightly firmer. Brakes are at both ends, the front has a disc and offered more enough stopping power but being over-powerful; the rear was a good brake though, of feel at the lever and it’ll the scooter in a hurry, used as they should be, they’re very good.

It’s no use having good though and cheapo tyres. a scooter will arrive some unknown brand I’d be reluctant to stick my wheelbarrow, but the Daelim scores by using a brand I fit myself, Racemans. They’re an excellent compound and if you’re riding in all you could swap them for the Weatherman, (contact to on fitment for your scooter).

four-… scooters aren’t for being particularly quick, but the goes fairly well. It gets up to 60mph and will top out at to an indicated 70. The fuel injected picks-up pretty quickly a standing start which is good news, especially if 17 and have an image to keep up, or to impress.

Daelim History 125

The Daelim S3 is the kind of scooter will impress people as it’s quite a cleverly scooter which should to riders of any age, … or It looks superb, has a quality and the odd gizmo to show off with the LED front running lights stand out very well on the The design of the scooter as a whole is sporty nor conservative; it’s very nice to look at and to ride too.

Daelim are to bring out a 250/300cc version of the S3 will enable it to compete in the contested mid capacity scooter and I will look forward to that one out.

The Daelim S3 is now, comes with a two warranty and costs £3299 There’s an attractive two year 0% offer available as well. Put a deposit of £824.75 and it’ll you just £103.09 a month; why use own money when you can benefit somebody else’s for free?
