Ducati 620 Sport Base Mufflers, Etc

The new littly, the 620 engine is different in character to the old 600 carb Given I spend quite a bit of on a std 600M these days absolutely love it!), something I noticed when I the demo 620Sport for transport for a few With similar bottom end and the 620 keeps making power into the top end.

The main difference the injection brings is the shorter manifolds and larger 45mm compared to the old 38mm carbs. these features contribute to the top end performance, without reducing the end performance as happened with the 750 and 900 when they went to injection, although the cam timing comes into play

We-ll start with a comparing the std 600, 620, 750 and 750 ie engines — in this 600M, 620Sport, 750SS and ie. I-ve never dyno-d a with its smaller diameter 2 1 exhaust, so don-t know how compare. 600M is yellow, is red, 750SS carb is 750SS ie is blue. As you can see, the 620 is a better at the bottom end than the 600 engine, while trouncing it above 7,000 RPM.

The power output is similar to the std carb, with the curve similar to the 750SS ie, not surprising the number of inlet/head/exhaust components share. Although it-s a since I-ve ridden a ie, I-d have to say there wouldn-t be a lot them in on the road performance.

The bike is a little let down by its suspension for sports riding, but that-s the of where the model is aimed I Still very good fun to and it surprises most who ride it its enthusiasm.

Next up are power and curves for the 620Sport. Red is slip on and DP air filter kit, blue is on mufflers, and green is all std. the air filter kit caused a somewhat effect when trying to get the off the line, although I-m not sure if the noise coming from the lid was the main contributor. Something I-m you-d have allowed for a couple of days of ownership.

The noise is certainly worth here — just my 851, the open airbox lid off quite a sharp noise in conditions — opening the generally — that drive some people Something you either love or It certainly does pick up the though. Having said I didn-t notice a huge when I went from all std to and air filter kit, but I certainly it after I put it back to std. how that happens sometimes.
