I’ve had my eyes on the for a while. I’m looking for the right to my Honda 919, and it will be something in the sport touring My girlfriend and I are crazy about the vacation form. So I’m going for a bit wind protection and touring

But I also want something fun to blast around on the back and works well on the occasional day. I heard the Ducati should fit those demands well. So I was eager to give it a

The riding position is very from my Honda, very to that of the MT-03, totally at first but lots of fun when you get to it. Unfortunately the weather was kind of so the roads where wet and felt a bit The rear did skid a few times I gave it a little throttle out of a corner.

Not much, but enough to me think twice before it further. Between us, maybe I did try to a little skidding a couple of But hey! It was hilarious, what’s a guy to do.

Getting used to the high of gravity was a bit tricky and I never managed to get it right. On very roads I rarely stayed on the line through a turn, because it’s so different what I’m used to. I would take it to a track-day or two, to get to the bike, before taking it loaded through the twisting roads of the Alps.

The air cooled Ducati Multistrada engine, to that of the Monster S2R 1000 is a Plenty of low range grunt, and you no trouble pulling away the sleepy cagers just by your wrist a bit. you come from an inline you will notice that the cylinder engine is not as rev eager as you are to.

But once again it’s a of getting to know the bike and your riding style You will have no problem up with most other

I was positively surprised on a matter of The fairring is excellent, the mirrors surprisingly well, and despite its legs it still feels and able to eat everything you throw at it. On the I could easily do 160-170 (100 mph) and still sit and comfortable.

A quality you learn to appreciate riding 12 hours a day for a few days in a Brakes where good as but that’s really something you know in detail before more comfortable with a and start doing late before turns etc.

The one I was the red DS version, but there’s a black S DS with a few extra goodies on it, and it looks absolutely sweet. No the US magazine Cycle World the Multistrada 1000s DS, Best Tourer of 2005. This is the closest to a possible replacement for my I’ve tried yet.

But are rumours that Triumph is on a new edition of their Tiger the popular 1050ccm triple engine used in the Speed and the Sprint. So maybe it’s to wait and see how that turns out deciding.

Hi Jesper,

I have been trying a few bike in Hamburg to help me decide on the purchase. (right now I have BMW

This weekend I also the 1000DS Multistrada and I can only with you. After on it and comparng with my GS I felt the difference in weight, although the does fell as if it has a higher At stand still I noticed the and heavy Ducati dry clutch would be a pain in the … in the I thought.

However one rolling the took all ym thoughts away the chasis. Fantastic wheelie tourque form 3-5000rpm smooth revving (compared to my GS and of the Desmo,) right through to It felt like two bikes in a Super moto in the low rev and a race in the higher ranges.

I thought is a real motorbike’. One thing I after living one year my GS was better brakes and on the multistrada I not complain. With cold I easily slid the front two fingers, and when the tires warm the two finger braking stoppies at the lights! Wind great but handling was very from the very neutral

I felt that it fell the corners wich made me off my line in many cases, but as you say a matter of getting use to it and working the gas.

However after off it onto my 12 year old BMW, although heavy and poorly great and is a real qality all I would find it hard to the extra cost and perhaps more ugly looks.

I forward to the Hypermotard though.

weekend in Spetember Ill try the KTM 990 Adventure and Duke.

I think the Hypermotard interesting, but I fear it’s use is a too narrow for my needs. Don’t its a touring bike.

I saw a Super on the race track this That kicked ….

Let me how that KTM 990 Adventure feels. pretty sharp.

David. Can you get us a sneak peak of the new Triumph Tiger then?

August 31st

I heard two stories about the Tiger, from Triumph Executives) one was they would use the 679 motor or it is to do something lighter perhaps to the 650 Suzuki V storm. then I also heard and saw they do something with upsidedown and a bonkers 1050 motor.

OT be Im looking for soemthing lighter but in the vain of the 1200 GS, I imagine the Triple motor would do the for a bit of of road whilst stil a great allrounder without to heavy.

Then again I to ride a powerband mad TDR250, off and on.
