Multistrada 1200 on Tour –

Ducati News Today has the Ducati Multistrada 1200 but we wanted to put the many roads to a real test.  How does it really cope the different demands of three of its 4 – commuting, touring and sports  We decided to take it on a week tour of some of the best in New Zealand along with Ducati mounted buddies to out.

 First up, commuting or as Ducati refers to it.

engine is happy to tick in the 2-3,000rpm range if you are smooth and with the throttle which commuting a lot more enjoyable. acceleration is available from 3,500rpm and in fact the engine more torque than the 1198 up until 6,500rpm. new tires, slick roads and an machine what better of the Urban mode could be?

Comfort is not normally the first that springs to mind you are free forming around but the Multistrada is truly comfortable town.  With a high care of the long travel you have a superior SUV-esque of the world, comfortable wide to grip onto and an adjustable that will keep of the elements at bay.  If you come a sport bike sitting so takes a bit of getting used to but you adapt and it begins to feel not to have a sore back / / legs / neck (delete not applicable) after a ride.

We the weather protection garnered the clever dirt bike hand guards that as high, easy to see front signals.  Just watch when filtering though as the is quite wide at the bars and height.  Although the Multi is compared to a sport bike it is light against its adventure style peer group and much lighter and well when being ridden.

the optional hard side installed you can securely stow gear whether it be your or work papers and have a practical commuter.  Popping to to the shops or running an errand in the is something we’d readily do on bike, which is more you could say for our Monster S4RS or much any other 4-valve  It is even reasonably economical for a potent motorcycle.
