Ducati Streetfighter 848 – First

I was in the market for a bike that a different approach to riding my current bikes have. I a great gravel and dirt bike in the WR250R; and great capability with the Tiger The Dakar was a middle of the road these two.

I was searching for more street oriented.

At point I was hopeful the Husqvarna 900 would make it to our shores. would be one sweet bike that modified Rotax 800 twin motor bored to 900 cc and a 270 crank on a light body and a upright riding position. The Multistrada 1200 was another but it overlaps the touring use I already get my Triumph Tiger 800XC.  I about the Monster 1100

But then came the Streetfighter 848. This caught my attention, especially for the Ducati made to the 1098 of this bike. They put a version of the 848 motor on this with the 11 degrees valve similar to what is found on the and Diavel, making it a unique on the Ducati line-up.

What I tell you, though, is these changes were to result on a broader range for top figures, making this although still powerful, relaxed for all types of riding. And accomplished this.  Modifications also made to chassis, bars, and brakes.

The bottom this bike is plenty of More than I imagined And it is a beautiful machine.

The question is: it be my favorite bike?
