Hey guys,

Located in Atlanta, I’m selling my 2006 Ducati Sport 1000 which includes a specially developed and easy to fit/remove passenger kit for 2-up riding, plus enhancments to make what is normally a torture rack bike all-day comfy while retainign sporty clip ons. It has Ohlins suspenion at both ends, light wheels, big brakes, a 1080cc big bore (with forged Pistal pistons) and lots more. It’s gorgeous, fast, comfy, versatile and awesome handling.

Nothing but the best stuff went into building up this bike.

I have all the original stock parts mint too – so I can revert any part of the bike back to stock, if you prefer the look. of the stock parts, and will reduce the total price accordingly, e.g. here it is with stock wheels and tail.

Over $9000 in top quality improvements/accessories have transformed this bike into one of the best examples possible. These bikes have phenomenal style and tremendously fun performance but they have significant shortcomings in stock form, all of which (and more) have been eliminated, actually turned into strengths on this particular example. No more; 2 piston brakes, basic suspension, heavy wheels, awful comfort, and lack of passenger accommodations.

This is the most fun bike I’ve ever owned and totally gorgeous with it. With the enhancements applied this bike is now a whole lot more fun than stock, super comfortable, very versatile, and an outstanding unique example. It now readily provides all-day-touring comfort through to track-ready thrills, and everything in between, even two-up riding (with the easy on/off kit supplied – see detaisl below).

I’m selling/tradign it only because it’s just too nice a bike to tear up with the kind of riding I want to do nowadays – I need a dirt bike so I can go ride trails with my li’l boy and a track whore that I wouldn’t mind binning.

Comfort Versatility

Multi adjustable clip-ons: Adjustable for height, angle and reach – can be set lower than stock bars up to touring-comfort high, and anywhere in between with just 2- 3mins effort, and they even look like genuine factory parts.

2-Up passenger kit: Includes genuine Ducati Sport 1000 passenger seat and Ducati pegs with custom hangers. Takes 5 mins to fit or remove. I developed this kit and used it to take my 8yr old son on occasional rides.

Gold anodize finish on; clutch cover vents, brake carriers and sprocket drive, to match and balance out the Ohlins gold finish

Rear fender eliminator with LED taillight and LED front + rear turn signals

All these changes are easily and 100% reversible (except big bore kit) using the original mint condition stock parts that I still have

Condition

This bike runs smooth as silk at all rpms, starts and idles perfectly, pulls real hard, handles like it’s on rails, and has been fastidiously maintained. Within the last 500 miles it had its major service (valve adj. motul full synth oil…) and brand new tires. Recently installed top shelf gold DID X-Ring chain, and new sprockets. @ 16k+ miles it’s now properly broken in and proven to be reliable.

It needs nothing, it’s ready to ride.

Price options

Stock NADA value is right at $7900 but I’m negotiable and only asking $7600 which would include the biek fitted with the stock wheels, brakes, suspension and tail (all in mint super low mile condition). You’d still be getting a gorgeous bike with the hi performance big bore kit/power commander and termi exhaust. much like in this shot:

If you want it with ALL the goodies on it (see first 2 pics above) then I’m asking $9500, which I think is a super good deal considering the total $9000+ of improvements it has on it, and the $8-10k asking pricing I see for the other mostly stock sport 1000’s on the market right now.

Any configuration of options you want, priced accordingly can be worked out. Just let me know what mods you want or don’t want and we’ll figure out a price. I’m negotiable so the first decent offer will win this beauty.

Trade:

Will trade for Ducati 996 or similar Ducati Superbike – cosmetic condition not important, even mechincal problems are ok, as long as it’s not all messed up. Let me know what you have, it doesnt need to be anything special.
