Historical Account: Superbikes Born on October 26th, in Cesena Italy, Lorenzo is a professional motorcycle racer competing in the Superbike World

He first started racing in at the age of 15 in the Italian 125 Sport class, the title two years later moving up to 125GP in the Italian and championships. In 2001 he moved to but his season wasn’t a successful and he was to take a one-year break racing in 2002. 2003 saw him for Rox Ducati in the FIM Superstock 1000

In Lanzi joined the Caracchi team in the Superbike World He had a poor start of the season and kept him out of two rounds. A series of 8 top ten finishes earned him a promotion at the Lausitz round where he for the Xerox sponsored Ducati team in place of the injured Laconi.
