I had some options for the ’07 season, but I love working with my and I can’t think of anything rewarding than being a element in my team’s structure and to build a solid foundation for the championship series. The job has now blossomed High Pressure, to Hyper because one oversight or mistake cost us valuable time, or worse — a race!

need to be on my game to ensure my team has Everything they to get the job done, no matter what. On the side, I will get to know single piece of the GP7 intimately, and for a like me, I think that’s to be really fun. I’m that it won’t be long I’m able to visualize the bike in my head and rattle off numbers, codes, and installation/replacement

At least I hope so!

As I learn about the current systems, and we new computer programs for doing I hope to be able to place my on a higher level of competitiveness we managed in 2006. It is my goal season to do my best to raise the — because I want to win Sure, I had a strong option to to a squad that has won races, and sure they will win again, but I wouldn’t have build that team. helping to build this this family.

It’s my family. In my heart, still a mechanic, though, and I look at life as a series of that I try to fix. I just sure that I put my all into at the maximum, because you never when the wheel will turning. My duties and responsibilities increased exponentially now, so unsure of what I’ll be to write about. Moreso, I am not I’ll have the time to do it up like I did last year!

a complete turnaround from my Birthday in 2005.

I expect to some more time in 30 minutes outside of the Barajas at the Pramac D’antin raceshop! fortified, discrete, and massive.

My present? Talk about An eight language racing that I will use to help me some of the more technical that comes my way.

in the box with the other mechanics year, I was amazed at how much you can with hand gestures finger gesticulations, haha), and choice words. To be honest, I felt 100% comfortable sometimes things got pretty and my lack of perfect language could have been a because time is always of the at the track. Now, I’ve got a new to help me improve that more.

Right On!

I’d to take a moment to thank who has been behind me this supporting me with time, and supplies throughout my first in MotoGP. Thank you MotoLola, and Joanne, Brad, Ian, the members of Barf. all the guys at and of course, all my teammates from MotoGP. They say the first is the hardest, but with everything got on my plate for 2007, I think only going to get more — and that much rewarding!

I’ve never in taking the easy route, and that learning from the up is the only way to go to truly understand and something. Tonight, I’m a glass to celebrate my 31st, and to kick off my new job in the 2007 MotoGP Championship.

Things go Brraaaapp in the night, on Montjuic

is a beautiful day to go for a walk. In Spain, of the shops and commercial centres are for business, so there really anything to do but

A) Sit at the beach and drink

B) Take a hike.

Me? I like hikes. I like flying too. And jumping in a lake? You Ok, just kidding on that one.

I have a particular to stagnant bodies of water, landbound lakes, and this from growing up in the middle of the body of water in the world, the Pacific Ocean. Part of me always think that are dirty, and you won’t find me in one. Still, I haven’t time in any of the Great Lakes in America, and I know you can surf (saw it in

Step Into ) Regardless, I’m a long way my own beloved waves, so on Sunday I walking. It wasn’t really my but my old friend, Nacho (henceforth as Big Nach) called me up and told me to him in Plaza Espanya, which is at the of Montjuic and fairly close to my new

Montjuic is a beautiful hill is now home to the Palau Nacional, the Art Museum of Catalunya. and also of the Olympic Stadiums. It’s a area, a nice place to through, and once I met the world’s dog out here. Montjuic also four Spanish Grand races in the early seventies, and was a famous 24 hour endurance that used to take on the very streets going up and the hill, sort of like a Isle of Man TT.

I strolled on down 5PM, just in time to one of the more spectacular sunsets in my Nacho told me to make my way to St. Jordi, which was near the so I had some more walking of me — just what my knee wanted, haha.

The plus side was that I had to get to.

From Plaza Espanya, is really just a big roundabout a tall monument in its center, South West towards the Museum.

When you get to the Museum, around and look back at the city below you. I was The sun was still shining and a golden light poured over the buildings.

I was getting close, as the daylight was saying goodnight. is one of my favorite structures in Barcelona, Calatrava’s giant radio

Just in time for one of the alltime Sunsets I’ve experienced. All the lights in the city were in the haze of dusk. Twinkling, stars. This picture do it justice, but I was struck thinking how much has happened in the last and here I stood, watching my new city.

It was a special moment.

THe wore on, and I fiddled with my playing with the night settings.

The artsy shot.

And the I was here — the Barcelona Nacho had invited me out to be a part of the and we had fantastic passes to make the quite memorable. I’ve Arenacrosses before (similar to but in smaller venues), and there is quite like lining up a bunch of loud dirtbikes and off once the gate drops. a sound that’s burnt my head, and I absolutely love it.

The throughout the night was fantastic, and all of us treated to a show as David ran away from Nick There were a few Americans that night, including Brown on a Kawasaki, and during the there was a fun FreeStyle jump Americans Wiley Fulmer and Bamburg really impressed me, but the night belonged to a Spaniard.

It matter to me much — if it has two a motor, and some guys — I want to be there!

Big ups to and Movistar, for the hospitality and the chance to out something fun.

November 18,

Splat! MotoLiam takes a and learns something!

Minutes posting the Ducati Museum I was headed home from Cafe, the internet haven I hang out at here in Barcelona. this would have like any other bicycle back to my apartment, but this I made a mistake.

It had been off and on that day, and it was something I as I put the power to the pedals of my trusty Haro BMX. My rear spun up a couple times the incredible torque I make I’m really hustling but I didn’t mind one bit — I like breaking traction! The air was clean, and the streets were empty, so I was making good headed down towards the via the sidewalks.

I saw the roads were dry, and I was my usual sprint, coast, coast on the bike, making and hopping off of curbs when I Eventually, I had to turn right, and I chose the wrong place! I under a tree and initiated a right sweeper while on the or powerstroke of the right pedal, and before I could react, I was straight for the concrete. It felt both wheels lost though the rear broke first.

I remember holding the and twisting my body to try and bring the end around and back in line, but it was I only managed to line up more for one of the roughest Belly-flops ever experienced, arms legs straight back me, and right torso parallel the ground.

BLAMM-O! Superman I was

I hit my ribs and stomach so hard I the wind out of myself something and it was a few moments before I could my arms and legs in to see if they still attached. I curled up and to pick myself up, propping my on my knees while bent breathing heavily. Wow!

was really something!, I thought, and for the time I can remember, I didn’t rush over and see how the bike was Maybe because this one have a motor I needed to running, or maybe because I normally eat it so hard on the concrete any gear.

Yeah, I said it. No Rolling around on the street almost always), I don’t put the pads on, because I’m commuting and not stunnin’. I don’t a helmet either, because I found one that does the (but probably because I justify the expense, and I don’t money to spare).

Suffice it to I don’t actually own any safety anymore, having given it all when I moved to Europe year. My fantastic Fox elbow/forearm (went through three or different pairs before I the ones that worked with me), my old Bell face BMX helmet (also for XR50 racing), and the generic I used — all gone Which brings me to my next

Yesterday it was revealed that Hayden rode with a bone in his shoulder during the GP. He damaged it in his pile-up with Pedrosa in the previous race at but kept the injury under so he wouldn’t give title Valentino Rossi, any more in the mental battle that was to on the track at the final race.

Nicky will miss the winter pre-season test in in two weeks because he’s surgery to fix it, and also correct a issue (just another removal, nothing serious, It’s not really publicized too when a rider does go other than the occasional blurb about so-and-so in practice, or qualifying.

After my recent wreck, it’s back into the forefront of my that these guys are in shape, and they take hard hits without Sure, sometimes they’re to sit out, or get surgery, but for the most if they’re able to, they’re out riding as soon as possible. I’m not comparing myself to a athelete, anyone who hits the has to make a choice to come and get on the horse again.

I’ve to hit the ground quite a bit, but I come back, and I went for a ride earlier this to shake it off and get the juices flowing in my again. Torso feels and I’m definitely having breathing, but you know what? It was

I know that my body be back to normal in a couple and hopefully the swelling in my left does down so I can type again. Nearest I can tell, I was hanging on to the bars with my arm when I went boom, and the wrench of the bars out of my hand it. At least my collarbones are fine the moment),haha, because I’ve both of my clavicles in various the first time before I was a year old!

In honor of and also Nicky’s impending surgery, here’s a great called Collarbone!

Recuperative also includes more fuel, this time in the of Smacks! Where else but can you find Superbikes on a cereal box for and the back shows a couple of MV F4’s. Sweet!

I am now officially on the out for some quality protective
