ClymerManuals: Someone needs to buy my SS350 to free up some garage space.

dar rak: Why do you kick-start with your left foot? If you do it properly, it should start on the first kick!

Jerry Wick: Hahahahaha, I do! lol Good for the motivation, if you have any questions, just ask. I’d be more than happy to help you.

Jerry Wick: 3.25/19 Front, 4.0×18 Rear

ClymerManuals: @JerryMopar 4 stroke. Wanna buy it?

mike g: I have been jumping on ebay and searching for parts. Its really a waiting game for good deals. If you have a part catalog you can type #’s in ebay and you’ll find some expensive oem stuff.

scottmcwallflower: I have this exact same bike, completely original. Needs some replacement parts though, like the black cap/screw that goes on the air filter cover and the clamp where the throttle cable attaches to the handle bar is cracked. Where would you order parts from?

I’m in WI as well.

madwelshaber: my bro and i had Harley 2 strokes SS125. SS250 SX250 For years, had some great fun, wish we still had them lol thanks for sharing yor video, very enjoyable, brought back memories.

Jerry Wick: Your very welcome! Good to hear about all your good memories on these bikes. Stay tuned, I am doing a light restore and recondition on this SS this winter.

Dont forget to take a look at our vids of our MX250 street tracker if you have not already!

Jerry Wick: I am left leg dominant, and have had an injury to my right knee, making it both awkward and a bit painful to kick with my right

rusty8mm: at 15:59 you kinda sound like Gilbert Godfried.:) Great video though. this is motivating me to get mine back on the road.

theapothem1: fellow inmate? what were u arrested for

Jerry Wick: Being an adventure rider. We call each other inmates on the ADV rider forum.

Justus Bibeau: I have this bike I picked up at a garage sale.Just started restoring it need a few parts. How can I get a catalog?

Tommy Murphy: @Scootertuner1000 Cagiva bought them in 1978 thats Harley purchased Aermacchi in 1974 after working with them sense the 60’s. They sold it in ’78 to Cagiva.

DirtynProud: where are you from? and where do yu know of to get parts for those bikes

ClymerManuals: @JerryMopar Not much. You see in my video what it is. A sympathetic refurb. I have the instruments for it. It’s a solid rider.

Jerry Wick: You got it right on the head. Some of the parts-bin transtional year bikes (HD-Cagiva) are pretty neat. Lots of the updated Cagiva parts, with HD graphics.

Brian Bullard: I had the 76 SS 125, spitting image except for the seat and taillight as you explain, and the 125 has the ignition where your tacho is. Took it up to 90 mph on a country gravel road, I weighed maybe 120, age 13 then, heavy vibration so I went to foam grips as well. I stripped it down rehabbed it, put on a flat bar, painted all the chrome black, was a good project for the 16 year old I was then.

Thanks for posting this!

TELEVISIONARCHIVES: AMF almost destroyed Harley Davidson.

Jerry Wick: You have a two stroke SS350? Not too common stateside, actually pretty rare. Or do you mean a your Sprint?

bennyson113: Cool

hankandrox: Great bike. My dad had a 1975 enduro. It was an AMF though. I would LOVE to be able to get one if I could find one that runs just to keep for memories. I rode it when I was about 15 on the dirt trails and beat it up quite a bit and then my parents just put it out in the TRASH when it stopped running.

Uhgggg I wish I could have it back now.

Jerry Wick: My father actually has been looking for an earlier ‘Ashtray’ head Sprint for awhile. We have enough projects right now, but what would you want for it?

HaleTruman: Hey i need to know what size tires they run.

Scootertuner1000: I love those old Italian built 2 stroke Harleys, they were fantastic. Cagiva bought them back in the early 80s. At first they were called HD Cagiva and then just Cagiva once they cae out with their own designs.
