2004 Harley Davidson VROD (VRSCB) – #x0024;9100 (Leesburg)

I am selling my 2004 Harley Davidson VROD (VRSCB). Currently (as of 3/9/14) the bike has 11,735 miles on it. This bike has many upgrades and features which make it stand out not only from a model on the showroom floor but also from nearly any other VROD on the street.

A brief history of the bike.

I am the third owner. The first owner was a guy in PA in his mid 20’s who bought the bike from the dealer and sold it after he let the bike spend more time in the garage than on the road.

The second owner lives in Ashburn, VA and garage kept the bike every night. This owner sold it to me because he wanted to ride a different Harley.

I bought this bike at the end of July ’13 and have thoroughly enjoyed riding it! I am selling it because I want to try another Harley too. This is my 5th ride and I have diagnosed myself with motorcycle-A.D.D.

I see a shiny new bike and I want to sell my current bike to get it.

There is not a thing wrong with this ride. Tires have tons of tread, brakes are solid, all equipment works, oil, fluids and inspection are up to date and I have kept the bike garaged all winter long. I’m currently running an aftermarket seat with the factory rider pillion attached, I like the slicked back look it gives the bike.

I have pictures of both setups on here. I have ALWAYS put premium gas in the bike.

Now on to the key features of the bike.

– Bub Industries Jug Hugger 2-into-2 Exhaust — $565

– Dynojet PowerCommander 5 — $380

– KN Air Filter setup (this configuration is known as running topless) — $62

– VROD 5 spoke Wheels in place of the ugly ’04 solid stainless wheels. — $446 and $507

– Aftermarket Harley Davidson VROD Sundowner VROD seat and rider pillion – $329

– LED tail light – $48

Total upgrades: $2,337.

NADA lists the average price of this bike at $8,265. NADA also says (under their special notes section) . MOTORCYCLES/ATVS/UTILITY – Due to custom features such as chrome, paint, engine modifications, and market conditions, some values may increase by as much as 10%-30%. That 30% increase would put the bike with a value at $10,744.

A 10% increase would put the bike with a value at $9,091.

I realize that my actual cost for putting all these upgrades on is more than the 10% increase, but I personally think that 30% increase a little high for this bike. This bike is very clean and has less than your typical wear and tear. Only minor scratches and dings are on this bike.

Bugs and tiny road debris are pretty much unavoidable. I’ll be sure to point out any scratches when you come look at it.

I am pricing this bike at $9,100. I believe this price accurately reflects the value with its condition along with the upgrades it has.

*I know Kelly Blue Book is a more popular site for vehicle prices, however, that web page is geared towards dealerships and prices which help them when you trade in your car (aka they keep it lower). Take it from a guy who worked at 2 car dealerships for 5 years.

NADA is used much more frequently for accurate pricing of true vehicle value and is usually what insurance companies go by. Yes this keeps my price higher but it is truer to the actual value of the vehicle.

Please feel free to email me if you have questions or would like to see more pictures. The bike is still in my buddies garage until all the snow melts, so if you want a specific picture it will take me a little more time to go snap a photo of what you are looking for specifically.
