I have (and use) the Manual for 1999-2005 Dyna It’s an amazing resource. book purchase is going to be the shop manual. Also, post a parts list at the bottom.

If you’re installing risers, ask these questions:

Is my brake long enough? If your are 9 1/2 inches or more, you probably new brake lines, but you should for yourself to be sure. Order now, along with new fittings and sealing washers.

get a brake bleeding kit and some fluid (DOT5).

Are my throttle/idle long enough? With 10 straight risers and a 32 inch t-bars, the stock FXDX were long enough, but had to be outside the triple tree.

Depending on your of patience, might be a good to take a beer brake Or hang out with your Or both.

Ok. Now, pull the out of the Dyna’s backbone near the tree. Hard.  I pulled too and a deutsch connector came inside  the frame.

Take the seat off.
