You usually find a couple Honda CB’s on eBay at any one From the small 350’s, 400-500’ and the largest 750’s. 1975 CB400F currently on r is a little bit different, in that it is not a original, or a rat café racer. It somewhere in between.

So if you are unsure way you would like to go with a Four, this one would fit in the middle.

From the seller

This bike has always garaged since I took in 1986 with 3327 miles on it. It comes with a Kansas title.

Original engine was and replaced with an engine I hopped up from another in 1992.

7,336 miles on before new engine

6,930 on new engine

I was able to find stock original numbers for the 400 but I think the modes done by the may outpace the factory. Back in off the showroom floor, you would get a engine by way of 51x50mm bore and with 9.4:1 CR. Four Mukumi’s would power you to at 8500rpm.

Now some of the upgrades that the points out would help to all these numbers up.

Highlight of the upgrades

Yoshimura 455cc big kit with 10.5:1

WebCamDrag camshaft

Now I saw this highlighted CB400F, I saw right above it was this example. The seller of this was nice enough to give us great information about the and I will add it here for all our knowledge.

The CB400F was a very successful in club or privateer racing. and other racers were to take Honda’s little engine up to 490 cc and with the of other racer options, small bore was considered a …’.

Confusion often over the two models that produced. Earlier ‘F’ models had a red or blue tank and side-panels to frame number 1073399. The only bore the words Super Sport, and the side-panel used a font wherein character was represented by three lines depicting 400FOUR.

Up to frame number 1056883 ‘F’ had swing-arm mounted pillion but from then on the ‘F’ models had the footrests moved to frame-mounted it is often assumed that feature only started the F2 model but this is not the case. The F2 commenced with frame 1073400 and featured a new paint ‘candy antares red’ or yellow’.

The new paintwork featured on the tank and had a different, angular, for the ’400FOUR’ label on the side The F1 model was not shipped to the United Europe. It featured typically a yellow tank and black with the F-type early [3]  Today it is not uncommon to see examples with F2-type paintwork but logos on the side panels, or early frames with paintwork.

So if you are in the market for something to shine up winter before you can start there are two nice CB400F for now on eBay. This one that I shown pictures of with its and this one from a seller who us all. BB
