Hero Honda Splendor (100cc) User Review

riders, here I am Hasan you a user review on one of popular bike in our country, which has ruling our roads with the of mass users belief. Yes it is Honda Splendor Plus . The Honda is a trademark of confidence the consumers, and Splendor is a name on any one can consist.

Earlier Story:

was a time when Japanese two bike were ruling our and by the flow of time four bikes entered in our market. were getting bored same type of graphics about same constructed commuter bikes. And at that Honda started to enter our with the Indian motor company Hero with the new name “Hero Honda”.

I saw the Hero Honda 4 … 100 cc in my city as I can remember on 1993.

was Hero Honda CD100 . time I was not quite impressed the slender model even nice color as I was the proud of Honda H100S CDI . But days and on 1998 I saw the Hero Honda (locally known Dolphin on our road. I was really impressed that bike. No one could the beauty of that bike.

And it was a quiet calm performer on our road. Many time I to convince my father to buy a splendor

Days passed away I owned a bigger beast ( Fazer 153cc ). but now one of the inheritor Honda splendor Plus around me. This is my neighbor who is of it. Sometime I take it for move and there as I love to test bikes.

And it is really pleasant experience to it. Considering my frequent riding HH Plus, here I will my experience for you though I am not the owner of bike.

Initial Attraction:

Honda Splendor Plus is the sibling of Hero Honda . There is nothing major between them but some change and up-gradation only. a 100cc (97.2cc) 4 … cylinder bike manufactured in It has a pretty look like a And any type of biker feels riding this bike.

Considering that, Honda is a brand of confidence, and Hero has the to keep the product analogous to our Asian need and riding So any one who do not know the mechanical terms but to buy a quality product which can him/her by filing their need he/she can confidently forward to it.


The name speaks for its looks and appearance. To me it like a pretty dolphin. I its sweet oval shaped tank and also the tank cap which made with the of the tank. The head lamp is so much pretty to look.

The traditional dash board, cover, rear view turning signal lamp, lamp, rear carrier, pipe all are constructed with a look to support the name

I should add, “Pretty in traditional shape”. In spite of its I really miss its elder (first model) color and the graphics. And sometime think if rim would have been it would have better.

But I see the newer version of Splendor alloy rim then I think it have looked better if rim used with the first of splendor. If I had the opportunity I would changed the rear tire to look better considering the tire.


To me it is a major issue. I it is a universal point of concentration the people. Every one wants the construction on which they can Considering the construction quality is good enough for this

It has the quality construction for which you can use it for a and long miles. My neighbor who is the of the bike Splendor, works in a NGO named RDRS, where he had to his duty in most rural and had to ride his bike more 100km daily on an average. He had to sometime with pillion within sandy river bed for the development work.

Engine Performance:

Splendor is a worker entry level no doubt. Its cubic 50-49.5mm cylinder is equipped with two valves with the actual of 97.2cc. The engine produces at 8000RPM. This can disappoint you as it be 8Ps or 8.5Ps.

But it has designed for daily not for high speed cruising. And the compression ratio is 9.0:1 you can be confident for its capability within its limit. So the bike can do enough on off-road.

Splendors compression is little higher than power band, so it required for fuel. Blending or contaminated hampers its performance. Though the ratio is high considering the displacement, but I have not experienced any of engine in any speed, even heavy load in high

I got to know that my neighbor not changed any engine parts piston or piston ring or any time till now at the mileage 49,000km. As I know he has only the clutch plates, meter front shock absorber oil and the chain sprockets, break tires, which is usual at the of 49,000km.


Every needs at least a minimum But when any machine need maintenance and replacement of parts it loses its appeal to the common Here I really appreciate for being a really low maintenance You really not to be so much caring for its

Just put pure petrol in the tank, keep the spark air filter clean, and don’t for which engine oil you have put in just run away for your

This is the simple line for of Splendor. But you should alert for the as its compression is little high for segment. It needs pure Contaminated petrol damages its plug very fast. I seen at the Hero Honda center, Splendor owner only for spark plug and it is due to bad fuel (as Atlas automobile says).

And one interesting thing my neighbor only loose engine oil local market and drain 2,000km and over. And he has not faced any till now.
