Well, not in the true essence of I should add, which is off bikes with road and tyres, this one is built for the and even though it is considered purpose by the manufacturer, it isn’t by

Since selling my WR400 a of years ago, I have it no end. In fact I have that bike more any other I had owned, but I didn’t the saddle and the small fuel So, I needed something that go further and be more comfortable, but be immense fun on the roads in and around the I live.

A couple of years ago brought out the XTX660, which just the job, but on closer it let itself down in terms of not finished properly. The wheels had spokes, the hubs had no coating on at all and several other parts not quite what I would for an all year round hack. all, that is what I was

I could have gone for a KTM but they are pricey. I did road a KTM Super Duke, but that is a bike without a fairing and ons, so there is no point, but sweet engine. But it does only £500 less my Blade, so not at all what I was after. It had to be but good.

By the way, I still the Blade too, so the Supermoto was a 2nd

In 2005 Honda brought out the This featured the old (very Dominator/SLR 650 engine that has in many a single cylinder over the years. I would thought the XR650 lump have been better, but didn’t.

The Honda was about £500 than the Yamaha and also to have some of that quality about it too with spokes, finished hubs, bars and generally more bits that should up to some of the English winter, so I one in November 2005. It is down on a bit compared to the XTX, but it does a tidier bike, weighs a few less, but is built to a budget.

The shock is very exposed and I am trouble finding a rear for it. The shock is a bit on the basic side and has spring preload adjustment; but the have no adjustment at all! they are long and thick and seem to be fine, giving a ride than one would

It even comes with generation Pirelli Dragons God I remember them on my ’92 and they still make now! Bloody cheap to too, about £60 for a and £40 for a front, not bad at all.

So far the winter I have had a right on this bike. Honda it a Funmoto and the PR stuff is all about etc. but it is no good as a commuter as is no where to put anything unless you a ruck sack, and riding it town would be a waste. But it is fun this bike loves back roads. wet or dry, it not. The bike has been in grime and general crap the filthy roads, but it seems to up well.

When I bought it, I also a bottle of stuff called and Ride’, which is for spraying all your pride and joy and then it through the winter. This seems to work and doesn’t off, you need white to get it off (I hope), but it means keeping of the bikes nice shiny nice and shiny.

There is whether it is going to be discovered spending a fortune is another though. When recently a small article on the FMX in Supermoto they suggested Honda put that engine in for a reason, very tuneable.

As it is an old engine it has been starved of breathe to it gets through Millennium regulations, so it may not be too difficult to get some ponies out of her by easing the breathing, it just cost a few bob for pipes and The inevitable big single exhaust has been tamed with a tailcan outlet so that’ll to go too.

Thus first on the list is a Arrow Race system decent headers and a less pipe. The exhaust headers on the exhaust are so small it’s no she runs out of puff quick, it can’t the air in and gases out quick so initial grunt is good but lived. I opted for the full system as opposed to just a of end cans as I feel the bigger are essential. I reckon this release a few horses in itself.

Once Dynojet and KN start some bits too, should help get a bit more out of it and all I will do — the internals can as they are.
