Road Test and Review: Fury

Road Test and Honda Fury

I went to Al Honda in Dallas TX over the to test ride some motorcycles. One that I was really in riding was the Honda Fury.

The is a 1300cc factory chopper came out in 2010.   It is one cool motorcycle. The Fury has really lines, a raked out front and lots of chrome.

If you have seen any choppers the custom manufacturers you know that can easily cost 30K and more.  The Fury is a much more $12,999 with the ABS version totaling 1K

The ride on the Honda was really it has tons of torque and at speed was agile than one would  Since I ride a Ninja the Fury was quite a change my sport oriented ride.  I the pegs a couple of times through corners, easy to do on a low riding motorcycle.

I was also not used to needing to in to second gear so quickly. Fury does not have a but I must have been close to it’s red line as I the rev limiter on a couple of launches red lights.  The bike is enough to be a daily rider if you are to live with it’s turn ins at parking lot speed, the is by no means light on it’s when it is slowed down.

I was really impressed with the and it will be in contention for my next  I really have an eclectic top two it comes to motorcycles.  Right now are the Kawasaki Concourse (great for the buck, very practical for a motorcycle) and the Honda Fury nearly as practical, a little but I feel cooler just about owning one).

My real gripe about a Honda Fury is the tank  It has a 3.4 gallon tank, that it’s range at around 100 – 135 before the fuel light staring at you.  I feel I fill my Ninja a lot and I get 185 miles a tank before I need to looking for gas.

100 miles might be fine for people but I ride to and from every day and thought of filling up day and a half is not that appealing.

One cool bike

Simple design

Nice ride

of torque

Priced at 13K for base

ABS option (my next bike have ABS)

Shaft (no chan maintenance)

Tank (only 3.4 gallon tank range)

Sloppy welds on the (this was surprising to me, so much to detail and looks like it was in High School welding

Slow turn in at low speed Honda’s fault just the of the beast)
