MotoNation Unveil KTM’s 690 Duke and Duke R Variant

KTM being the second largest motorcycle manufacturer in Europe, have decided to collaborate with long-time local KTM distributor, MotoNation, in assembling their bikes in order to cope with the increasing demand for KTM’s particularly well-looked-for motorcycles, both domestically and within the ASEAN region.

The plant’s location has yet to be confirmed, however it has been said that the plant be operational before the end of 2011, and MotoNation has also assured that the assembly plant will adhere to the same quality controls and expectations that KTM Motorcycle (Austria) has placed on their motorcycles that roll out of their Mattighofen factory in Austria.

Further assurances have also been made to help make KTM’s brand, more accessible throughout Malaysia by targeting the areas that have a relatively large population of motorcycle enthusiasts.

MotoNation along with KTM, also look to cultivate, hone and increase the calibre of young aspiring motorcycle racers by providing better accessibility through organizing seasonal international motorcycle circuit racing events.


KTM and MotoNation’s collaboration couldn’t come at a better moment as KTM celebrate their 10th consecutive Dakar Rally win, thanks to Marc Coma as he bags his 3rd consecutive title win for the most gruelling rally event in the world.
