2014 Honda F6C Valkyrie

In all its … glory, the Gold inline-six-powered 2014 Honda F6C

Honda seem to have a rather unlikely, but totally platform for their hot new custom – the Gold Wing! Last they had unveiled the Gold bagger-style F6B and now it’s the completely F6C Valkyrie, which is almost as as the F6B.

Powered by the Gold 1,832cc inline-six, the new F6C Valkyrie is 70 lighter than the GL1800 tourer and, according to it “provides a riding experience dynamic when required and when not, thanks to suspension, dual four-piston front brakes and an ergonomic position.” Indeed, with and 167Nm of torque from its engine, we do suppose the F6C wouldn’t hang around twiddling its when you twist the throttle…

The new F6C Valkyrie’s twin-spar frame is from lightweight multi-box sections and, helped by the low centre of gravity (the is a stressed member), it’s optimised for all-around handling The F6C’s 45mm telescopic adjustable monoshock, single-sided 19-inch (front) and 17-inch alloy wheels, standard shaft drive, 5-speed twin 310mm brake at the front with 4-piston full LED lights, LCD instrumentation and 341 kerb weight translate a package that not only good, but also offers good riding dynamics.

Colour options for the 2014 Valkyrie include metallic red and black, and available range of includes bits like LED fog high windscreen, rear leather saddlebags and wind etc.

2014 Honda CB1100, EX unveiled

The 2014 Honda and CB1100 EX look damn Revisiting the 1980s was never

Honda have released high-res pics, specs and of the 2014-spec CB1100, which a new 6-speed gearbox, revised and turn signals, repositioned and ‘graphite black’ paint. The CB1100 has, according to “evolved into a bare-bones racer” for 2014, while variant – the CB1100 EX – is a bit more with wire-spoke wheels and exhaust silencers.

Staying to its 1980s roots, the 2014 CB1100 is still as basic as its – steel tube double-cradle air-cooled, fuel-injected 1,140cc that produces 88 horsepower and of torque, 41mm telescopic at the front and adjustable twin at the back, twin 296mm discs with 4-piston callipers at the front, 18-inch alloy wheels (shod 110/80 and 140/70 tyres, and rear), and an upright riding for all-day riding comfort. ABS is and the fuel economy, at 18.5kml, is not too bad at though the bike is a bit

heavy with its kerb figure of 247 kilos.

We think the Honda CB1100 is brilliant – it looks beautiful and it may not have the outright performance of, say, a Fireblade SP, it’s an motorcycle which is likely to be loved and appreciated by those a fond memories of the 1980s…
