Our new Dual Touring saddle is the perfect blend of form and function for the new Chief models. As always, we’ve maximized the seating area and positioned the rider bucket in the sweet spot to offer the best possible ergonomics and long range comfort. Sculpted seating platforms conform to the shape of your body to give more square inches of even support and eliminate hot spots and pressure on your tailbone.

Neutralized seating platform helps to hold your body in place and curbs sliding in the saddle. This also helps to relieve rider fatigue by taking pressure off your wrists and knees. Our exclusive Comfort Cell foam material on the inside provides a firm, resilient ride that supports your body indefinitely.

Over time, Comfort Cell will break in and adapt to provide a personalized fit to your body.

Bucket shaping of the front seating area gives an unprecedented amount of body support. Notice how it curves up at the back to provide over six inches of support to your lower back. Towards the front of the bucket we design the saddle narrower to allow for ground reach.

Smaller riders may prefer to slide forward and out of the bucket at stop signs for best ground reach.

Dual Touring saddle accepts an adjustable backrest in both the rider and passenger seating areas. Corbin backrests install and remove easily with a single bolt and adjust to provide a tailored fit to rider posture. In the front, we’ve built in special hardare that also allows the backrest to be adjusted fore and aft.

You can use a single backrest transferred front to back as needed or two for full time use.

Backrests are available in several styles to suit your taste. We’ve found the #297-SB standard and #02-SB Ovalbac to provide the right blend of clean visuals and rider support. Both give you an additional nine inches of vertical support and are sculpted to fit the shape of your back. Covered with genuine leather to match your saddle and built up with Comfort Cell foam for long lasting comfort.

At the rear we offer a variety of finishing plate options. Our standard plate is a black leather look, but for a little extra we can provide it prepainted to coordinate with your stock paint for a truly integrated look. Our Ovalbac model backrest also offers the option of a chromed steel finishing plate.

Corbin’s Dual Tour has the option of electric seat heaters in both the rider and passenger seating positions. Both the rider and passenger areas are controlled independently via conveniently located switches in the left side panels. Our seat can plug directly into wiring that exists on the motorcycle, but this method allows the heater to run with the ignition off.

Instead we recommend use of the Corbin supplied wiring pigtail that integrates with the OEM fusebox to take advantage of switched power. Installation is simple and complete instructions are included.

Our Fibertech base material and patented manufacturing process allows a perfect fit to the lines of the fender and tank. This rigid baseplate provides the saddle with a firm foundation to support the carefully designed ergonomics of the foam. The entire seat rides on rubber bumpers to protect your paint job and mounts to your bike with a tongue in the front and single screw into your fender at the rear.

On the outside we use genuine leather seating for a luxurious ride that breathes with your body. We have obtained a special distressed tan leather just for Indian models to coordinate with their accessories or choose our standard natural grain black leather depending on your bike’s options. We’ve designed a cover pattern that blends visually with the Chief’s visuals and allows a variety of customization options like a tasteful color coordinated welt (shown).

Genuine leather fringe lends a truly classic look and comes standard to match the rest of your new seat. In keeping with the design of the OEM components, we’ve incorporated an oversized stitching so you keep consistent look across all components and that vintage appeal.

Regarding Indian Concert Saddlebag Audio Kit : We have retooled our saddle and provided room under the basepan for the amplifier used in this kit, but the Corbin amplifier relocation bracket MUST be used. Our bracket lowers the mounting point of the unit to allow for the improved seating position and ergonomics of the Corbin saddle. We provide this bracket at no charge if you own or are purchasing the Corbin saddle.

Regarding Seat Height: We measured the effective seat height of our Dual Tour and Classic Solo saddles and came up with numbers that don’t jive with the OEM spec. We’re not sure how they measured, but we made the Corbin saddles as low as practical to put the rider is the sweet spot on the bike. This changes the seat height, but we think this visual comparison makes more sense than the numbers.
