This 1917 Indian

for a new custodian for my 1917 Indian This is my bike. I am not a broker, or anything other than an I have owned this bike since 1999.

I first purchased the bike I only the motor to Ken Edmiston of and had him completely rebuild it with new balanced to the lower end as well as new and guides.(reciept for the work)He was given the to not clean or restore any of the exterior or plating. I also had the Bosch (yes correct for the bike as it was a $10 when new as I understand).

It is a regular site on the local roads around my small near Asheville, NC. It has never me stranded or failed to start on I am knoweldgeable about this and Indians in general and have had models over the years.

I have been an AMCA for almost 20 years.

Bike was at Davenport a few years back the side car attached and scored a Points were lost for a 45 magneto on it at the time temporarily as the 42 was still off being rebuilt. I the judges woudn’t notice but did. For some reason did not like the grips too.

I think it was supposed to have shakers?

Pictures tell it This bike is loaded all the right bells and whistles: The gas and tail light have functioning burners in them. At one it had a small welders acetylene in the footwell and they were by previous owner. Speedo is correct and rebuilt too by Tom Bethel. rare side car spotlight. seen another one) No and bolts have been with stupid looking stuff.

All the original spring clip are present for side car attachement as as rear brakes. Those are a design wonder.

There is a original folding sidecar top and the cockpit taneau cover.

I a mostly complete tool kit and owners manual as well an pair of splitdorf plugs and tank wrench. All are now framed in a box and displayed in my family room.

This bike is a work of art. As fascinating to stare at for as it is to ride.

There is a small of valuable spares that are Most worth mentioning are a transmision and clutch assembly. As as internal handle bar linkage and a few odds and ends.
