Thanks for reading.

This is the story of Sophie. My ex Sophie from down the where she was locked in a horse unwanted, because she was infertile and had a murmur. She was about two years old at the I already had a dog, Amber, a cross between a Golden and a Chow, but she looked like a Terrier. Sophie and Amber best friends.

My ex split on Xmas Eve ’04, and I inherited along with numerous

Sophie was a natural athlete and run like the wind. Watching her direction in singletrack, at full was amazing. She had no extra body fat and was a eater, often having to be to her bowl.

I would learn about this later.

on the other hand, devoted a amount of energy to discovering available food source, no how small or obscure. But Amber was and getting old. Her hearing was gone, could only see out of one and needed eye drops daily.

she lost her other eye overnight in ’05, I knew her time had I buried her behind the peacock and made a decision to let Sophie so she would know where was, and that Amber not be coming back. Great can be very sensitive dogs, Sophie and in the months to come I wondered if I had the right decision.

After Amber’s passing, slowly lost some and her appetite also diminished. By ’05 her regular food wasn’t enough, and then she would eat “tasty treats” but soon those wouldn’t do. She was down ten and was so weak she had trouble walking. The vet put her on IV and did a test. Sophie had Addisons which is electrolyte levels: and potassium.

She would be on meds the of her life, and they weren’t I got her back the next day, a dog. Much improved and she had an appetite!

I switched to the high-end dog three meals a day, and eventually gained 14 pounds. I this was her buffer zone. I knew that Sophie had borderline with Addisons all along, but Amber’s … had brought it on.

Sophie started grey when she was two, and the above was taken when she was six. Her energy was still good, not like a puppy, but OK. lasted until January when I had to go out of town for three and needed a dog sitter. I had no idea was the turning point.

Sophie with a woman who had a Cocker loved dogs, took to work everyday, and walked her dog times a day. When I Sophie up on Monday morning at the dog office, I walked up the front in through the front door, and she was, and our eyes locked! She move, just stared at me…  this lasted at 10 seconds until I finally “Well?” and she came around to me.

Everything seemed fine.

I her home, and in the kitchen I offered her a Sophie was about to grab it, she suddenly yelped in pain and ran This was very strange. It to be her left shoulder, but then it was with no trace of a limp.

I the dog sitter to ask if she knew anything Sophies’ shoulder, but she didn’t. I to understand this sudden usually happened once a but sometimes not. Sophie eat of of my hand anymore, it was as if she didn’t me.

I’ve been told if a Dane is in pain, they often associate it with owner. I knew this was here, and I felt powerless. odd behaviour followed; refusing to on her cushions, not coming into the room or my bedroom, sleeping on the bathroom floor, pacing in less and less eye contact.

I like I was beginning to lose my dog and it was to drive me a little crazy. she stopped eating her regular She would eat back bacon and weiners, so that’s where her went. I took her to the vet and he did a blood to check her electrolyte levels, but were fine. He took an of her shoulder, but that was fine

He suggested the pain might be her internal organs, and we do a Cat scan, but I no. Clearly, it was time for alternate

I phoned Glenna, a psychic who can readings over the phone. She her guides and was told that Sophie was with the sitter, she ran in the forgot she was no longer a young got careless, and hit her shoulder. She now had a pinched that would cause her

This made sense. Sophie wasn’t eating she had an upset stomach – caused by the in her shoulder. Meantime, I had gone out and a new batch of high end dog food for to try.

She liked it, but it wouldn’t stay down. I found a new vet who did chiropractic and accupuncture, and made an

Wednesday . Sophie was hungry for her and lunch, and ate her new food. Then we for the new vet. She thought Sophie had a with her neck, probably the vertebrae, and the nerves running to her shoulder could make it like a shoulder problem. She Sophies neck, and also did acupuncture. The doctor left the with the needles in Sophies and I thought she was gone too long, seeing another client.

Sophie was very good, on the floor, trembling slightly, I comforted her. When we got Sophie had no appetite and refused to I went to bed at 11pm, and locked her in my as I had been doing for a week or so. She go near her cushions, but would against the door on the carpet. I this was better than on a cold bathroom floor.

was sick all night, and I got little as she needed to be let in and out many times.

. I had a scheduled reading with and had planned to take Sophie in the van but not to after her being sick. My would check in on Sophie hour, so that was good. I Glenna why Sophie was sick night – was it the accupuncture or the new food? I was it was both.

I was shown how to use my body as a tester for her food, because her were likely to change This dog was consuming a lot of my energy. I home at 2pm, and my neighbour had out in the yard in the pouring rain. greeted me briefly, then away.

What I didn’t and found out days later, was she had very little energy the couple of times my neighbour let her but the third time she was waiting for my at the front door, and very made her way to the back- straight to grave! Sophie knew. She there a while and had just back into the yard I showed up. The rain stopped and the sun out, but Sophie would not into the house.

If I started to toward her, she would run me. This was new behaviour; it was like I was the person in the world. Now it was 5pm, for a walk, but she wouldn’t come me or the van. At 6pm, I had a dog that had sick, not eating, was cold and and had been outside for four

I had to get her in. I tried to catch her, but she was too I chased her down back (I 5 acres..) but she was gone. It was the first Sophie had run away.

I got a flashlight and in the dark for two hours, to no avail… I Glenna and left a message what had happened.

Friday . I the dog pound at 9am. Then phoned. She couldn’t figure out bizarre behaviour at all, so she had another psychic friend – one who in animals.

Her friend told her the dog sitter (in January) has a lot of negative or energy around her, and a lot of energy too. This was a real mis-match for Sophie’s especially with my dog being so And some sort of a spell had cast over Sophie her to react with male So that’s why her behaviour toward me had it wasn’t me so much as my male

To release the spell, I was told to put a of Sophie on the porch, sprinkle all around it, and visualize the color all around her. I did, and for my massage. When I returned, I had two the dog pound and a neighbour over 2km who had my dog. Sophie had been since 8pm last night and had come into the house. I Sophie home and could she was getting really weak.

She eaten or drunk water for two days now. She wouldn’t eat back bacon, so she wasn’t her meds either. I took her to my house for family supper and she had no in tasty food scraps

This was when my back hurting under my left blade. My Mum gave her some and said she thought the “entity” had Sophie. I phoned the vet and made an for 9am Saturday.

I drove her home and she the distance. When Sophie in the front door an amazing happened; she walked straight to my and lay down on her cushions! She hadn’t that for weeks. I felt I got my dog back.

I could tell Sophie was in and I let her out a few times that night and got sleep myself.

Saturday . To the vet at Sophie was dehydrated, and had a temperature. would put her on IV, and give her antibiotics. I in the afternoon, and was told she was responding but not well.

I tried to get some My back was still hurting.

. I was working on my motorcycle, getting it for a ride, when the phone at 9am. Sophie had passed in the early hours. It hit me pretty and I was pretty useless the rest of the

I picked up Sophie’s body and her next to Amber.

Monday .  I was in the sunshine, picking up twigs in the and my shoulder would twinge time I bent over. I sensed that Sophie was in the with me. I said to her, if you’re here with me, away the pain in my shoulder, for a little while”. and just that, the pain was gone.

I over several times to but it was gone. That’s when I she still loved me!  I cried all over again.  The was gone for 3 hours.

I had wished Sophie would get better, without pain for a while and go in her sleep.  But that would be in a world, and we don’t always get to Sophie touched many hearts, and I know I’m not the only one her.
