Ever since the Series-A’s in 1937, the Vincent v-twin had synonymous with design engineering excellence and superlative performance. So in September 1955 it was revealed that production of the machines would cease, the stunned the motorcycling world. Examination revealed that the bottom-end was in sound condition. New fitted were as follows: 8.0:1 pistons; valves and (the valve guides, etc found to be excellent) and Amal carburetors. Both wheels been rebuilt with chromium-plated 19 rims, with painted and red lined centers, with Dunlop T.T. 100 Tires.
