This is a Spanish-made supermoto (street bike with a moto chassis) with a Yamaha TTR-125 4-stroke engine. I bought this my second semester on the island and have used it to get to and from school as well as the occasional ride out to the French side or down to Sunset beach. The bike has been fun to ride on the island and gets me through traffic in a hurry.

Alas, my final semester has arrived and it’s time to find this bike a new home.

The bike has been insured and registered. This was a bit of a headache, since it was previously registered on the French side, but after a wonderful SXM runaround, I took care of all the paperwork. The bike is registered through the end of the year (and realistically until February, when they actually start enforcing the new plates). The bike is insured until May.

I will help to transfer the insurance to the new owner.

I’ve taken care of it as best I can with the limited time and tools I have here. I had the rear tire replaced when I bought it (from the Kawasaki shop in Marigot; the staff is honest and easy to work with). I have worked on some of the wiring for the front and rear tail lights. I reset the clutch pivot and replaced the clutch cover gasket. I recently changed the oil and cleaned out the carburetor.

I’ve changed the oil every semester I’ve had it and the gear shifts are crisp. I try to keep any hinges along with the chain and sprocket lubricated.

Here’s what you get when you buy the bike:

• One full set of keys (ignition, gas cap, and built-in cable lock)

• One spare set of keys with each type

• Full face helmet (Blue and black, Size: L)

• Shift gloves (Gray, Size: L)

• Spare clutch and gear cover gaskets

• Previous clutch lever (End has broken off, but still works)

• Extra front brake lever (Needs to be sanded down to fit)

• New clutch cable (one bare, one with sheath)

• New throttle cables (x2)

• Previous front light assembly

• Metric wrench set

• Any online manuals I’ve picked up to help with repairs or parts

• Any other parts I can find between now and then

• Copies of my paperwork for registration and insurance

Some stuff that is worth noting:

• Will probably need a new front tire soon as it’s down to the wear bars.

• Lights flicker when the bike is warming up, but goes away after 5 minutes

• The clutch level is the wrong size, so it moves up and down, but it shifts fine

• The carburetor can get clogged some times, but it’s pretty simple to clean and I’ll show you how

• Sometimes the electric starter doesn’t work, but the kick-starter will get the bike running after 3-4 kicks.

Price: SOLD

Price is negotiable, depending on offers and interest.
