’01 1500 FI Drifter, no

Hi, y’all. New guy here.

I’ve got a with my Drifter similar to the one member (falcon) is having.

The started and ran while parked weekend-I removed the battery and put it on the for a week and then dropped it in and tried to fire it up. No fire.

pump sounds like priming OK and I can smell raw fuel the pipes after some but no spark.

I unplugged a spark plug and stuck another plug it and laid it against the block and the motor-no visible spark. I even grabbed onto the and cranked the engine while onto bare metal expecting to do the electric cha-cha. ) But Deader’n a doornail.

So I went and the obvious things like the switch on the handlebar (working Kickstand kill switch bypassed, temporarily), Neutral (kicked it in and out of gear a few times in it got stuck somehow-the light and the trans IS in neutral), clutch (working correctly). And then I the bottom half of the Vehicle Sensor was missing.

Found the mechanical half of it up in a snag partway down the and it still had the weight and pivot in it so I it back into place and the ignition switch and tried to the engine again. Still no

Tried to run diagnostics on the ECU by the factory (Ground pin 37 on the ECU to B- and tunr key on and count FI LED but the light only comes on for a and then stays off. says the battery must be charged or the light either slowly or not at all (The battery may been low from all the cranking)so got the battery on the tender again and retry the diagnostics tomorrow.

So as it stands, I’ve got:

pump primes when key is turned on. VDS wouldn’t allow if it was tripped as far as I know and besides it reset after cycling the key duration is shorter than though. It usually primes for seconds after sitting for an hour. Now the prime cycle lasts about 1 second.

It’s been pretty up here and the duration may change temps and the fact that the has not been running.).

B.)ALL check out good from the ECU fuse under the seat to the ign under the right sidecover. All are tight and no wire damage is

Anybody ever encounter particular problem besides me and
