Here’s another in the Essential Guide series from Publishing, which includes 100 vehicles, from the Volkswagen and BSA Bantam to this recent The Essential Buyer’s Guide Z1 Z900 .

Author Dave makes the big difference here, this book full of information for the potential Z1 to Z900

I never met a two-wheeled I didn’t like — I’ll have to admit, I some more than (it’s only natural!).

The Kawasaki Z1 is definitely in the like it

I’ve been around enough to remember when the Z1 went on sale, believe it or

Kawasaki has always been a marque here in the webBikeWorld probably because us old-timers see as more or less the underdog, way back at the beginning.

They had to do different to separate themselves the Hondas, Suzukis and Yamahas of the (not to mention Triumph and and the incredible 500 and 750 two-… triples it (see the webBikeWorld Kawasaki Bible review ).

So using this Kawasaki is never enough strategy worked for them with the 500 Kawi figured they’d Honda by releasing the 900cc, Z1 in 1972.

The bike did exactly Kawasaki had hoped and instantly the top-dog Superbike of its time. The Z1 had 82 horsepower, which was unheard of at the and is still very respectable for

Double overhead cams and a engine on the first Z1, along the famous fastback rear behind the seat, characterized bike. The swooping egg-shaped tank topped it off and it was an unmistakable exercise that set the bar for many of Superbikes to come.

The Z1 instantly became hugely in the U.S. with nearly examples built and sold. 40 of the Z1’s were exported to the UK and there in 1972, as there was yet to be a UK distributor.

Fast-forward to 2013, the original Z1’s are collector’s and extremely difficult to find in condition. In fact, I’ve searching for 1972 to 1976 Kawasakis nationwide in the U.S. and basically come up empty. modified examples are going for of $10,000.00, so apparently I’m again) late to the party on bike, which has now become an classic.

I didn’t much more about the Z1’s than what told you here, so when the Buyer’s Guide Kawasaki Z1 was announced, I glommed on to a copy. typical Essential Buyer’s in its format; short and to the point, good-quality color photos.

books are not designed to make you an by any means; just to give you a chance when you’re to buy one and hopefully want to make it like you know what talking about.

I learned a lot from the slim 60-page for example, I’d probably be off looking for the last model the 1976 Kawasaki Z900, supposedly has better handling and and most of the issues have worked out. And, it’s not the original 1972 Z1, are supposed to be lower also. If you can find one — the Z1 to Z900 are hot commodities in the collector’s market.

The difference between the Buyer’s Guide Kawasaki Z1 and some of the other Essential Guides I’ve read is apparent, and we have Dave the author, to thank for that. a true afficiando who really the bike writes the book, you can tell.

The book is a brief yet guide to learning about and a Z1 to Z900 and if you’re interested in bike and are planning on buying be sure to read this first.
