Kawasaki KX 60 Mini Dirt Bike

Whether you are simply thinking about trying out dirt biking or if you are considering becoming serious about the sport, you definitely should learn about which brand of motorcycle to go for – which is the Kawasaki line of bikes.

How the Kawasaki Motorcycles Company Started

To give you an idea about the role that this company played in the motorcycle manufacturing industry, here’s a quick look at their history. Founded in 1924, the president of the company was Kawasaki Shozo. Along with other famous Japanese brands, the CEO managed to make Kawasaki a worldwide-popular name in the field of motorcycles. However, they did not immediately start out manufacturing bikes. Instead, they got involved in the aircrafts and metallurgy industry.

It was only in the late 1940s that they managed to break into the business of designing engines for motorcycles.

Purchasing Meguro Motorcycles

One of the most important points in the history of Kawasaki as a motorcycle company is the purchasing of Meguro Motorcycles. At that time, the company was dominant for making the four-stroke engine and they are also known for the “senior make” line of motorcycle products that they had. Meguro came into the business during the 1930s.

The first motorcycle that the company made was the Meguro Z97 bike which had a rocker-valve, 500cc engine. Its design was largely influenced by the Swiss Motosacoche. Manufactured until the 1950s, this model became a huge success in the market and paved the way for single-cylinder bikes to be introduced.

The downfall of the Meguro line of bike products began when they started designing the 250ccF and the infamous 350cc YA bike models. It was in 1960 that the company was bought by Kawasaki Motorcycles.

How about the Kawasaki KX60 Bikes?

Right now, Kawasaki is one of the leading brands of motorcycles which has a worldwide market. They have a complete line of traditional, off-road, utility bikes and Jet Skis which are well-designed and high-performing. If you are looking for a ‘green’ bike either as a toy for the big boy kid that you have – or as a not-full-sized dirt bike for yourself, you should definitely go with the Kawasaki KX 60 model.

The KX 60 may not have the strongest engine in the market, but it’s a great beginner bike for those who like the looks of flashy motocross bikes.

The KX 60 also has a liquid-cooled, 64cc two-stroke engine which comes with a versatile racing package. Whether you’re thinking about going pro or simply dabbling in motocross as a hobby, the line of KX bikes manufactured by Kawasaki is something that you should not miss out on checking.
