Round 2 – Power Game

Kwacker gets a slipper which is a segment first; in a feature unheard of in lower sportsbikes. A slipper clutch’s function is to prevent wheel or skidding during aggressive while entering a corner. is a feature more common in class superbikes.

This does hint at intention of offering a track bike.

Improvements over the model include a revised fuel-injected, 296cc parallel-twin that boasts of a longer new and lighter aluminum …-cast light pistons, redesigned crankcase and an oil pan which helps the overall weight of the bike to 172 This engine pushes out an 39 Bhp of power at 11,000 Rpm and 27 Nm of peak at 10,000 Rpm. The exhaust too has been tweaked for better and more linear torque

The Duke 390 on the other hand be a fast and menacing street That being said, you be able to rip it out on track days Mechanically, the 390 would pack the cycle parts as the Duke

This would include the swingarm, WP up-side down forks and 10 way adjustable rear WP

The motor will be a 375-390 cc, single cylinder belting out 43 Bhp of The torque figure hasn’t disclosed by KTM yet, but we are guessing a ratio six-speed transmission keep the surroundings in a constant of blur. Power to weight too should be tremendous considering a dry of just 139 Kgs.

Round 3 – and Might

Styling is another point for the Ninja 300. design cues from the ZX-10R, this Ninja sharp. The Duke 390 is going to be just the as the Duke 200 albeit a new color That’s not a bad thing is it, considering the design of the Duke 200. The is striking and manages to draw with expressions of awe due to the abstract yet looks.

It will probably to do so for some time to come. The 390 get the same trellis frame of the 200 but in KTM’s trademark orange while the body panels be draped with white complimented by black alloys. But KTM has also hinted at a fully version of the 390 inspired by their 3 bike.

This too should be the looker and again pose as a threat to the Ninja 300 in terms of

Verdict – Last one standing

Both bikes are thoroughbreds. The 300 being the track racer will put down laps laps going faster time and the Duke 390 being a blue streetfighter will anything that pretends to be on the road.

But pitted against other the KTM Duke 390 will as a better product overall. The 390 has a lot of things in its favor when it to a PRACTICAL buying decision – power, lighter, comparatively looking and most importantly it be almost a lakh cheaper. the prospect of a fully faired the 390 will take the bigger home on the track too. read: Bajaj Pulsar 375 versus KTM 390

If only Kawasaki and Bajaj develop the Ninja 300 here in then there would be a drop in its price and the Ninja surely pose a threat to the 250cc That being said, if I was a purist – I wouldn’t really about the competition, the Kwacker be parked in my garage already; a brilliant motorcycle in itself. read: Five upcoming 300cc-400cc
