Reverse cones and bar end mirrors.

Nice Bike! Im 23 myself, a motorbike mechanic at Kawasaki, i didnt get in quick enough on the first batch and they are now HUGELY backordered, but iv managed to nab one from the next lot, should be within the next few weeks that my new W800 arrives too! My reverse megaphones, ace bars, mirrors, braided lines, sintered pads and angle grinder are all sitting on the bench ready to get to work on it 😉

Any chance of a vid so we can all experience some w800 exhaust note goodness?

Your info there says rockingham, if you were in at the local kawasaki shop the other weekend, then i have heard it and it does indeed sound sweet!

Could i ask what fell through with having the custom headers made for her though?

One last thing, yes the horsepower is a genuine retro 48. The torque however is way up on the 650 and on the bonnie, coming in at 65 footponds (bonnie being 44 and w650 being 34) The name can be misleading, do remember the W800 is only 773cc, not a full 800. Low 8.4:1 compression too.

Everything about the bike has been designed to keep all that useable torque down low in the rev range. I could go on and on, i will simply put that I too loved the bike since i saw the circulating pictures. As with any bikes, owners will find improvements and boost performance as they see fit.

Acessories are on the way, some already available and others coming soon. No word yet on Aus getting the other colour schemes available, or the cafe racer edition, but the parts for them can be ordered from kawasaki directly on special order. With very little having changed the majority of parts will fit straight on from a w650 or even the w400.

A final goodie before i stop ranting, the bevel cam drive cover on the old w650 was a chrome cover, simply cosmetic. The w800’s bevel cover gives direct acess to the gears – which makes it possible to add a clear window in it ducati style, and see the gears at work :p

I believe he’s getting the braided lines soon as well- He used my computer to order them. P

Um. I’ll leave it at that so he can reply with all the technologic bits that as a woman- I don’t understand yet. (But do help him with!)
