I have a 83 gpz 750. sometimes it only runs on 3 it usually doesn’t run on number 4 but number 4 runs and another one also some times all run. do you have any clue this could be.

by giving it a good tune up new sparkplugs air filter, adjust clearances, check ignition balance carbs (this may or may not be if one cylinder isn’t running). probably won’t solve the but it will eliminate the easy

Make sure you don’t any air leaks where the carbs to the manifolds or to the airbox. Make the spark plug wires are all in condition and the spark plug are making good contact them. Examine the plug for any signs of damage or wear and them if necessary. If they are the wires you should consider them at some point even the best insulation breaks down and you could ourself stranded far from in the rain.

I once limped home in a on my GL1000 with one cylinder After I replaced the plug it never happened again.

the section in your shop that describes how to check the system and go over it thoroughly.

If all doesn’t fix it you might have to your carbs. has of good information about GoldWing carbs, but the principles are the

Some carbs have above the float valve that can become clogged debris. If your carbs removable seats take out and make sure the flow of isn’t restricted by clogged

That’s all I can think of right but go through your shop and see if you see anything else that make the problem move one cylinder to another.

If you don’t a shop manual you should get one your bike is an antique and you have a hard time a shop that will on it. The sad fact is that a lot of the mechanics now are too young to remember bikes old and aren’t interested in learning them so that they can do a job since yours may be the only one see this year. This that you will have to do of

your own work, and working on a without a good shop is just not worth the headaches. (My are from the same era — why I fix them myself.)

I recommend that you get two manuals a Factory Shop Manual and a or Clymer. That way when you understand the explanation in one you will figure it out when you have the other too. If you spend time on Google you might find a factory manual for free download.
