New Ride: Kawasaki Ninja

I’ve been wanting a new for several years now, and I now was the time.  I originally wanted a new 600 or 750. but after reading in Sport Rider about how the ZX-6R was, I thought I give that a closer So I took a trip down to the Kawasaki dealer and made a deal on a leftover 2008 Special Edition .  What this bike a Special

I actually to the dealer with the intention of a 2009 model in black.  I was walking around I spotted lone 2008 leftover in the with the odometer reading It’s never been either, and I knew I could get a deal on it. Since it was the only new 2008 they had left and I want green, this was

Additionally, the 2008 models had exhaust, which I like a The 2009 models went to the more traditional side which I think looks and unsightly in comparison.

The dealer delivered the yesterday and I was able to take it out before the usual Florida came.  The first thing hit me was how easy the bike started and how it ran.  Since it’s injected, the new bike does not choke levers and a long It’s been raining since here, so I haven’t able to take the bike out

I have to keep it under for the first 600 miles, so that may a while considering how busy been lately.  We’ll

One current trend in bikes that I do not understand is the low-beams.  Although the bike has two only one is lit during standard This is also true of other sport bikes.

This just seems — why not just have the use of headlights?  When you engage the the other lamp lights, you have a single high-beam Do you get it?

  I don’t.

For now, I’m going to ride the bike and keep it totally stock.  it won’t be plagued with the ending reliability issues the Suzuki GSX-R 750 I had was, but I’m sure the carburetors were the issue there, which is a issue here.  I can’t say I’m totally pleased with the “Special Edition” decals on bike, but I suppose they grow on me.

It’s time to ride and I’ll post more I rack up some miles on bike.
