Australian motorcycle maker KTM builds a wide range of high quality, high performance motorbikes. If you’re looking for a dirt bike for competition or general off-roading, you’ll definitely want to look at the KTM models. What the KTM XC does for Cross-Country bikes, the KTM SX does for Motocross bikes, with ten models, including a range of great two-stroke and four-stroke motorbikes.

While there are a full 12 submodels of the 2008 KTM SX, including mini and junior bikes for the youth market, as well as small bikes like the 85 and 105, and big powerful bikes like the 450 F and 505 F. The highlight of the line, though, is probably the 2008 KTM SX 250.

Although four-stroke bikes are becoming all the rage, the KTM SX 250 is proof that a two-stroke bike can be an excellent motocross racing cycle. If you’re a serious motocross enthusiast, you’re sure to appreciate the way the 2008 KTM SX 250 combines the ease of maintenance of a standard two-stroke bike with the kind of power you’re more often likely to associate with a four-stroke motor.

When you look at the KTM SX, you may well fall in love right away. KTM has been redesigning the SX repeatedly to try to capture the perfect motocross racing look. With the 2008 KTM SX, they’ve come pretty close, if they’re not there already, with a nice combination of orange and black paint, an overall aggressive styling, and aesthetically placed decals.

If looking cool in the saddle or letting other racers know you came to ride is important to you, the SX has got you covered.

If you’re a fan of two-stroke bikes, you won’t be at all disappointed by the KTM SX, and if you’re the type who thinks that four-stroke bikes are the only way to go, get ready to have all your preconceptions changed fast. This is a powerful, well-tuned bike that’s about as responsive as they come. It’s quick and light, which makes it great for cornering or any tricks you’ve developed to show off your motocross skills.

A sturdy suspension means that your landings are as smooth as your takeoffs on your jumps. The five-speed transmission offers a great range of gears and you can get just as much power as you need when you need it, while the top of the line Brembo brakes can keep you out of trouble when corners come up fast.

Any mention of the KTM SX should also mention the 50 SX, a mini version of the SX that’s great for your child’s first dirt bike. It weighs only 88 lbs, is designed to accommodate riders 4’ 3 tall and smaller, features a quality chassis with highly responsive disc brakes and comes with an automatic clutch so young riders can get used to being on motorized wheels without worrying about any gear shifting. It’s a trusty, safe bike that you can use to teach your kid about motorbike riding, and it will be easy for them to graduate to a bigger KTM SX when the time is right.

On top of all the performance aspects of the KTM SX, it’s also fairly affordably priced. If you’re looking for a motocross bike that can show off all you can do on the track admirably, this is definitely one to try. If you’ve got a prejudice against two-stroke bikes, it’s really in your best interest to overcome it, and the 2008 KTM SX is a great way to do that.

It’s a responsive, high performance machine from a manufacturer that knows a thing or two about motorsports and motorsport racing.
