KTM 525 SX – Super Clean, Nearly New – $2,950 or BEST offer! – #x0024;2950 (Santa Margarita)

KTM 525 SX – $2,950.00 or make an offer. Will also entertain certain trades or trades+cash (see all of the way at the bottom, or if you have something else, let me know. No hurt in asking!)

My cell number is 213-215-9976.

Bike is in incredible condition. Purchased new in 2007. This bike hasn’t been ridden much, it was an extra so to speak. Still has the original rear tire with decent tread.

Fluids always changed with the rest of the bikes.

Bike is stock and has been maintained extremely well, perhaps excessively considering the amount of time I’ve put on the bike.

These Austrian motors are fairly bulletproof but like any motor in any application there are a couple of things with these bikes that require attention and have been monitored as they should be. Best to buy from someone who understands rather than neglected.

Left crank bearings are in good shape. The valves are adjusted perfectly. There is no defect of any sort with the valves, but they are known to require semi-frequent adjustment (takes a few minutes, most 4-stroke bike owners are familiar with this). I do have some Kibblewhite valves that I haven’t installed that will require less attention and may throw them in with the bike. This bike’s valves have never gone far out of adjustment – just a lucky one I suppose.

Gears are excellent and so is the drive hub, rear shock heim (always kept well lubed). Cooling system has been flushed along with the brakes only a few months ago.

The bike hasn’t been taken off my property in about a year but has been started up, warmed up and ridden around my place. Starts first kick when cold and choke on, doesn’t have any problems.

The only modifications are the grips and shift lever (a little longer for a size 11 boot). The only flaws with the bike are a 1 tear in the seat cover near the gastank which doesn’t call attention and isn’t in a place which will tear further, and the clutch lever is missing an external stop nut which allows it to fold out. It does not affect anything mechanically and you wouldn’t notice otherwise – you will see when you look at the bike.

The bike fell over in the garage and the stop broke but didn’t break the stock lever. You can see that the bike has never been laid over while riding.

Bike has stand and I will also throw in a helmet and riding boots (size

12) and a newer pair of gloves if wanted.

European project cars (no totals or wrecks, but non-op is fine – Porsche, Benz, Audi, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mini, MG, Fiat, Maserati, etc – anything cool or quirky, incomplete, sitting in grandma’s barn with no time to get her started again. ).

Certain Porsche parts (80’s 911 or 944), Land Rover parts (Disco II and Defender), or Jag parts (XJS/V12 80’s).
