Coming to the engine, the 990 SMT’s feels quite smooth and It starts pulling hard 3,000rpm and delivers an aggressive between 5,000-8,000rpm. The engine actually rev all the way to 9,500 rpm though of the time, you won’t need to it that hard.

The gearbox is quick, precise and silent – no gear changes ever.

We the 990 SMT’s ergonomics . though the remains a bit on the higher side KTM having lowered it a bit. The position feels relaxed and riders should be able to get comfortable on this bike. To the KTM 990 SMT was quite a pleasant surprise – it was fun to ride and not one rider had anything to say about it.
