Ross gives his new KTM 450 SX its first ride.

By now probably read what National Champion Shane reported about KTM’s new SX but we’ve yet to see if the new KTM SX can indeed win races its XC cousin has. With the Motocross Nationals just the corner we’re going to that out real soon.

we wait to see if the orange brand can run upfront we decided to show you what three of the fastest KTM in the National Motocross scene be riding when they into their gate-spots at one of the Nationals.

Boy did I luck out this all of the pieces to this assignment literally right in front of me. It out to be an all-Ohio gig; KTM North (Amherst), Pro-Am riders Clark (Elyria), Joe Bruening Ross Dantonio (Westerville) and the spot, Ram Jam’s Sportsplex Village). Even the photo and crew of Aaron Stevenson, Walton and Rob Carrel were all born and raised.

On with the show! Let’s a closer look at a few of the fastest KTM quads you’ll see in the upcoming ATV National scene

Lookout, Joe is in shape and ready to rumble on his new prepped KTM 450 SX.

#28 Joe Bruening’s 2009 KTM 450 SX

Bruening, who rode a Yamaha YFZ year, says he’s in the shape of his life and more ready to take on all comers in the ranks with his new KTM.

Joe is and lighter than most so he and his mechanic Derek cut an inch out of the aluminum steering stem. in half Derek told me never seen a stronger of aluminum and we agreed many of the on the KTM are a step above what seen from other in the past.

Joe says his KTM features JB A-arms for more adjustability, durability and beefier balljoints. top-of-the-line ZPS PB-1 shocks, a Tech hood and Spastic graphics are also seen in shot.

Derek, Joe and fellow Ohioan Baldwin of Baldwin Motorsports definitely done their in preparation of putting the KTM 450 SX at the front of the at this year’s Nationals. tinkered with the stock WP which are pro class worthy to Shane Hitt, but opted to advantage of their PEP sponsorship and up a set of PEP ZPS (Zero Pre-Load System)

Joe said he couldn’t corner as with the stock shocks they were way too stiff for his His PEP set up, which feature PEP’s new fronts, solved the problem and he his KTM now handles extraordinary.

JB Racing A-arms are paired up the PEP PB-1 fronts perfectly, the stock swingarm remains in the Rounding out the handling department is best friend, a Precision stabilizer.

As for the engine department, Motorsports charged up the already SX powerplant by installing a 13:5:1 Piston along with a Cam and Port job. Baldwin customized the stock airbox to the air intake in order to get the most out of his modifications. Lastly an HMF slip on tip is used.

The trio plan to out the rest of the stock exhaust as as they can find a unit they feel worthy of Pro caliber KTM SX.

Joe said he has his new KTM dialed in perfectly and has yet to a quad that handled

Joe says his new KTM is the fastest and best ATV he’s ever ridden, and it just as good as it is fast to a Quad Tech hood

and and number and decals by Spastic Stock bumpers are used KTM Hard Parts nerfs got the nod the stock nerfs. All in all, #28 KTM 450 SX is indeed a looker but more to keeping the competition in check, it out rips on the track.

Like I said, check out the for proof.
