The Chug

Now this is not the end. It is not the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the – Winston Churchill

The long of racing in Canada has come to a Now I say Canada, but really it’s BC where the Kawasaki Canadian series was the only place to up. I always wonder if the young in this series realize how they are compared to the rest of There’s not one racer in the world won’t tell you the best way to get at racing is to race.

No matter or who’s on the gate you just get the on the gate – at the race feeling practice. That alone this series so important for the of young racers on the west of Canada. I’m sure you’ve all of Al Dyck, Dusty Klatt, Lange, Colton Facciotti, and Beaton.

They all got their wet in this series and all would that this style of and being able to line up so times is a huge part of career. It was the end of the beginning for these top

Arenacross is all about the fun with

I really have to give to the series for helping me get my business of the If this idea keeps the way it is then I’ll be saying the series is what helped me get my I started back in November at one and made my way to each round to Cycle North and WASPcam who the first companies to jump on Since then Yamaha, Matrix, 100%, Deft, Big Steel Box, Orthoflex, and Fox have jumped on board.

It’s been an amazing meeting new people, bench with new fans, sharing with new parents, and hanging some of the best moto I have in the sport. The little on Saturday night was one of the best parties I’ve ever had a to be part of. The karaoke, cheeks kissed, the dancing marathon, and red underwear worn by the dancing

That’s the way you close out a really fun

Ethan Ladd and Dylan are pretty off the track too, but is ridiculous. LOL

I’m sitting in the Atlas office bench racing this Arenacross series and to compare to others in the past and see it ranked. The boys say it ranks all time compared to the 04/05 where it had names like Beats, Newf, McLean, Klatt, Cook, Montes, and the goes on. This year was amazing at times with T J Medags, Hoyer, Johnson, Knowles, Howell, Nauditt, Jurin, and more.

It’s funny how spraying extra purse money can make the gate full of racers. Another topic came up in our bench was how much Future West had in purse Over a 6 weekend race – 12 rounds – the purse was $6,870 per $13,740 per weekend, so $82,440 for the That’s a pretty crazy for a provincial series.

Looking at now maybe the Future West should have blown up more in the PR side of things, but that’s unreal dough. hope that when the get crunched and expenses are all paid it a great ROI for the series and next things stay the same and riders show up to chase the of championship status and fill the account to the brim.

It was awesome to so many big name riders the series which only make the action each that much better.

In a skinny little fella a big smile on his face with a inside of him like a gladiator a yellow bike with #34 on the two some great motos and an overall at the final round of Since that day he’s up the wins and has always fought and nail for a title but never it happen. Fast forward to and that same kid with the big and gladiator mentality scored his ever pro title.

This kid is Jeremy Medaglia, who that no matter the distance it may to get to the top, if you believe you can make it, the can pay off. The best part of it all was his wasn’t easy to wrap up his championship. Flat tires at moments, a collision with while in a perfect points and lastly a yellow flag in the main of the weekend that had a few bang into each

All these incidents could made for a rough night if went the wrong way for Jer, but didn’t. They all worked out and the kid home a title for him and his Cycle team. It was an inspirational championship run for

Let’s hope we get to see him race that plate for the 2014/2015 AX series.

You finally made it kid. Congrats.

The Open title went to Ross on his Cycle North Honda was well deserved. He showed up weekend ready for battle and was the consistent rider on the big 450. It was pretty awesome to see how many and family he had come up in support of his run. There’s not too many in Canada where a US rider the loudest cheers from the

Family is uber important to and they came and showed how he is to them.

A very happy Johnson. You can tell he’s good.

So it’s only and the series is now in the past. I’m not sure if it was a one for all involved, but I will share on Saturday night not one person a poop about that it was all about a celebration with the people that race bikes. Sometimes that’s more than money.

The SX took place on Saturday under the lights at arguably the famous course in history. The feeling you get just being to enter that place is that has to be on the bucket list of any in the world. Ryan Villopoto got his back and absolutely destroyed the He only made one pass, was in the first 200 yards, going by Wilson like he was a on a 50cc

He literally was in another time this past weekend. I last weekend that it may be for the three-time to get another win after the way ben looking. I guess I’m an … not one racer on that gate got hit in the face with Poto it that main. It was fairly at the front. Behind him was some action with Wilson, and Roczen right up to the 15 lap mark poor Wilson’s tongue got in the spokes.

He still rode but that was a nasty fade 2 nd to 7 th. The other drama involved Stewart and Justin Barcia. is closing in on the “Cause Most award who I woud say is owned by Alessi at the moment. Though I in this situation Barcia a good move but lost the wheel taking Mookie with him.

The aftermath Stewart whisky throttling Barcia and his bike should him a small fine for unsportsmanlike in my It was also warranted but again guys are supposed to be professional

I’ll end this with a up on rumors which really have two left, well three. MX101 is about to their last MX2 spot a US rider to go along side Wright. I’m thinking we will this week. The KTM race plans should be announced week as well since launched the huge contingency for the nationals last week.

Lastly the Alessi deal has now to maybe fade a smidge as was supposed to be a meeting with and Mike Genova this at Daytona since Jer stays at Tony tried to make the happen but didn’t realize Jer was in Canada racing this Jer also hinted that may stay US and bring him along for the this summer but no decision has made on Canada or the US just

I’ll contact Tony week and check in to see where the are. Have a great race fans!!
