Durability of the engines? [ edit ]

durability of the parts. To the best of my knowledge, at the larger versions of the small have a serious reliability also warping cylinder (planar design), drive failures, it goes on and on. I do like but words like durability to have their boot on another foot. The Honda VFR exist you know.—Cancun771 17:24, 8 May (UTC)

Yes and no. Particular runs of the blocks suffer from bad with the valve stems and the valve head eventually off (I lost a V50 head that There is a parts update that fixes that, the valves of the V50NATO, which are of better quality steel. So, the and the early four-valve V65 and V75 do have issues. However, later of the small block are about as as the big blocks.

The heron head itself is not a source of problems. does make a difference is the small blocks are much sensitive to keeping the correct intervals. The low oil capacity means if you don’t religiously check the oil it will run dry pretty fast. to the service intervals, do regular oil and they will run without to the 100.000 mark.

After that, you’re in a bit of a as the bikes don’t keep value, and a complete rebuild is not the money unless you’re an Granted, all this means similar displacement Japanese are less of a hassle. Mvdwege ) 21:24, 20 January 2008

Fair use rationale for Image:Guzzidrive.jpg [ ]

Image:Guzzidrive.jpg is being used on article. Please go to the image page and edit it to include a use rationale. Using one of the templates at use rationale guideline is an easy way to that your image is in with Wikipedia policy, but that you must complete the Do not simply insert a blank on an image page.

Corsa Engine pedigree [ ]

I removed the sentence ‘A version of the Carcano engine was in the early 1990s and is currently in the 1250 cc MGS-01 Corsa.’

The design is an Overhead Valve using pushrods to actuate the The MGS-01 Corsa uses the configuration introduced in the Daytona. As it is more correct to refer to its as the evolution of the John Wittner that was introduced in the Daytona.

About the only thing Wittner’s design shares the Carcano engine is the crankcase.

the Carcano design is most 2-valve only. All 4-valve Guzzi’s currently on the market are off the Wittner engine. The small-block with 4 valves are based on yet design, evolved from Tonti’s original V50, and too are OHV designs.

If I could remember how to links, I would post the to the technical specs on the Guzzi page. Mvdwege (talk ) 20 January 2008 (UTC)
