Royal Enfield — the Bullet — 500 Power

Does the RC for this bike say that it is a Don’t get me wrong here but bike sounds like a rip It looks like the upper of the bore has been installed on a 350 lower block just to the person an indication that the is a 500.

There is no other way the problems you faced can occur on bike.

Please take a lot of when you purchase a bike the 500. It is now a very rare to come across as nearly all of have either wreaked engines or have been somewhere.

Hi Sandeep,

This is for sure RE500, My friend helped me the bike, original owner original duplicate keys, folder given by southern chennai and the very original aid (expired) kit of 2004.

Yeah, I not buy any vehicle without personally The damage that incured to me due to issue are:

1. Over 23K for the control (Parts, Lathe Labour charges, Taxi to carry the parts to Chennai, Car to carry the parts from to Gingee)

2. 7802 additional kms (initially I was this bike had run only 20K but actually 27802kms when I delivery)

3. Five days of my time

4. 580kms of riding

5. Rs. worth fuel

6. Mental

I’m sure RE500 the same engine case of the only difference is in the crank. I my mechanic saying that the is little heavier than the

I/Powertwin validated the RC and it is genuine book, the only thing I is to check the cylinder/piston. If the cylinder/piston have been original I would have saved the expense.

I’m sure the oil pump for RE 535 was much bigger cylinder than the RE500’s oil pump size to provide addtional oil Hence the engine seizure had due to lack of sufficient oil supply to the parts internally. I had seen the oil pump in the shop in chennai and the problem to oil pump for the following

1. The mechanic I met enroute to Tiruvannamalai me that the oil circulation was not sufficient.

2. I excessive vibration due to rocker and running with insufficient oil

3. The bigger bore/piston also up more heating issues on the distance

4. The carburater found to be with RE 500 jetting and this added to overheating as the RE535 running lean.

5. when rode the bike in coimbatore for (as he stated on the phone), the bike have any problem. I’m he covered the 450-kms in 10-15days hence seldom ran. So the were not notified to them.

My to Chennai was long enough for the oil to and engine to over heat so the seizure.

If you see the previous post before this bike, I did mention 1.5mm oversize that was to me as replacement done on the previous attempt. hence I had an impression this bike was running on piston of RE500. I only to know when I met the lathe guy in chennai about RE535 kit was in use with this bike.

In the whole engine components restored to RE500 now. All I can now are the following parts:

1. Cylinder kit

2. bearings

3. Floating bush and (crank shaft)

4. Oil pump warm gears one and the nut type)
