Note: auction ended at $6500 we finished the post. Congratulations to and seller! -dc

For most of the 1970′s Japanese bikes didn’t fairings from the factory. why those ugly Windjammer fairings are attached to so many super bikes. No offense to Craig, he did make some stuff. When I ride my KZ1000 I feel like a maybe I should put a Windjammer on it, or I’m getting side tracked, the we have here today has a tasteful bikini fairing.

The Wes GS1000S is one of my favorite “race to bikes from that They came already with all the stuff you’d do to the jane GS of the same year if you more power and better

Here’s a great description for the

This auction is for a 1980 GS1000S, Wes Cooley Replica, production sport bike / bike.

This bike was serviced with:

New NGK spark

New Mobil 1 oil change with oil filter

New rear tire

New fuel petcock (valve)

rebuilt carbs (may minor tuning)

The bike has than 18,000 miles and no signs of ever being or being damaged.

This bike is not restored. It is a original, low mileage version of a and desirable early Superbike. It was be an restoration if you really wanted to do so.

One guy who this bike and backed out he was getting a freshly restored

The chrome signals, valve caps, grab rail, are all in great condition. The exhaust is in great shape with no rash, dents, etc. are some very minor that I haven’t had time to out.

The GS1000S bikes produced for only two years – and 1980. The 1980 version had updates that include:

Slotted brake

CV carbs and larger intake on the cylinder head for better and more horsepower

Factory step seat with in a criss-cross pattern. This was used on no other bikes Suzuki ever made.

rearset footpegs. This is the biggest and most important between the two years, as these pegs required changes in the This made the 1980 frame different from all of the GS1000 frames, including the GS1000S frame.

This is as it means the 1980 GS1000S are GENUINE Wes Cooley Replicas. The GS1000S could be faked as the are identical to all of the other chain GS1000 bikes.

The paint and work are near flawless. are a couple of small chips on the fender, but that’s it.

The reserve is $5,000. This is low as I seen much lesser of this bike go for more that.

A centerstand complete bushings and spring is included, but not Also included is the correct brake rotor, which is to match the front rotors. will be included with the at delivery or can be shipped separately – is most convenient for the buyer.

bike is located in Southington, CT. If you are in area and would like to see the before the aution ends, you are to. For a northeast sale, I may meet the part way or deliver for a fee.

Full disclosure:

The clock working. It may be the toggle switch turns it on, but I don’t know for

I have new fork seals for it, but I not have had the time to install They are included with the

Factory decals on the seat rail and chain guard are and in excellent condition.

I love the bike has not been restored. I’m sure it would beat my KZ1000 in every aspect and I feel like a parachute I reached The Ton. I love this old and this clean. are as close to a time machine ever get to.

Here’s where I tie my KZ to the Wes Cooley GS, you In 1976, 1977 and 1978 Rig won the AMA Superbike Championship on a KZ. In 1979 Wes stole that spot on the with the GS1000 and did it again in

You want some super history? I got your Superbike right here…
